400 - Menschheit im Zwielicht
Mankind in Twilight
K.H. Scheer

A thousand years have passed since the war against the Ulebs. In the meantime, the Solar Imperium has lost a lot of its power, and also important members, such as Allan Mercant, Mory Rhodan-Abro and John Marshall. On October 1st, 3430, Perry Rhodan is preparing the forthcoming elections for the title of Great Administrator and visits the planet Taura as part of his campaign.

In his absence, Galbraith Deighton, the new chef of the Solar Defense, discovers a secret base under the Pacific Ocean much older than Lemurian ones. The scientists find the body of a Neanderthal in a state of cold-sleep. As they wake him up, a signal is sent out to an unknwown destination and the base is completely destroyed. The man says his name is Lord Zwiebus.

Atlan visits the Nosmo, the capital of the Imperium Dabrifa and makes contact with Khonan-Tap, the group in rebellion against the Imperator Dabrifa. Dabrifa asked for Perry Rhodan's cooperation fighting two other power blocks: the Carsual Federation and the Central Galactic Union.

After Rhodan wins the election, these blocks decide to use their forces against the Solar System. But Rhodan and the professor Abel Waringer started preparing for this event 500 years ago. When the alarm from USO specialists on Nosmo is received, the whole SOL system is shifted into the Antitemporal Field (ATF). From the viewscreen of the Union fleet directed by Dabrifa, the SOL system vanishes as it is displaced five minutes into the future.

The new dawn of Mankind starts.

The recording gives the location and the name of the planet where the ore can be found: Maverick.

Derbolav flies with his fleet to Maverick, in the Blue empire, and penetrates the atmosphere of the gas giant. On the planet, he encounters Accalauries, antimatter creatures with a spherical chest, two legs and four eyes. Derbolav realizes that the Accalauries are also interested in the Ynkelonium because it could be used as a way to isolate both universes, preventing them from interacting with each other.

Noticing the concentration of Accalauries in the Maverick system, Atlan and Rhodan arrive there with a fleet and claim the Ynkelonium for the Solar Empire. Comfortably compensated for his efforts, Derbolav accepts and surrenders the precious ore to Rhodan.

In March 3433, Perry Rhodan receives an emergency call from Harno in the Leyden system. When he gets there, the mysterious sphere materializes inside the Intersolar and tells the Terrans that he has discovered that he has a direct ancestral link with the Accalauries. When Accutron Mspoern arrives in the Leyden system, Harno shows Rhodan scenes from the past.

1.8 million years ago, an intelligent cluster broke off from an energy cloud from the Anti Universe. It shrouded a planet and gave birth to a million Accalauries. In the 500,000 years that followed, they developed a civilization and a million years later, started searching for their origins.

The rest of the energy cloud became unstable and started spinning, soon creating a black hole that hurled it into the Einsteinian Universe. In the 500,000 years that followed, the new entity destroyed entire clusters of stars and was called the Suprahet by the inhabitants of the Milky Way, until it was turned into the planet Hercules by the Ancient Ones, 1.2 million years ago.

Harno and the Terror Worms on Sepulchre were created from fragments of Hercules. The Terror Worms made a pact with the Blues to transport the molkex created by their siblings. Thousands of years later, the war between Terrans and Blues created quantities of loose molkex that started fleeing toward the center of the Milky Way and eventually rematerialized in the Anti Universe of the Accalauries.

When the Accalauries saw the molkex materialize in their universe, they realized where the original energy cloud went and decided to follow it into the Einsteinian Universe.

Now that they have solved the mystery of their origin, the Accalauries want to return to their original form of an energy cloud, but Rhodan convinces them to abandon this plan, since it would lead to the creation of another Suprahet. The Accalauries agree to return to their own universe and Harno follows them.

IT appears to Rhodan after a long time of silence and admits to having fled in front of the Suprahet. He also mentions to Pucky that there are other Ilts in the Universe but refuses to disclose their location.

In April 3433, the sun is increasingly perturbed by the Death Satellite and the radiations it emits have a debilitating effect on Alaska Saedelaere and Lord Zwiebus. Rhodan sees a connection between the two events and wonders if the mysterious people that Lord Zwiebus met 200,000 years ago have something to do with the fragment that is inserted into Alaska's face. He puts the two men in contact, which makes Lord Zwiebus remember his past.

200,000 years ago, the Earth is discovered by a humanoid race called the Cappins. They are capable of mentally taking control of other creatures and soon realize that Neanderthals are excellent receptacles for their experiments. They try to create mutations in the entire population of the Earth by installing the Death Satellite inside the sun. The Death Satellite is also programmed to annihilate the entire Solar System in case these experiments were discovered by the rest of the Cappins.

After his hypnosis session, Lord Zwiebus regains consciousness and is now acting and speaking as a normal human being. He tells the Terrans that the expedition that led to the discovery of the station where he was resting is most likely the reason why the Death Satellite was activated.

On May 31st 3433, a cylinder spaceship enters the Sol system. A Terran team enters it and finds it abandoned. Alaska Saedelaere tells Rhodan that Cappins were inside but they teleported out of it. The Terrans evacuate the spaceship shortly before it blows up.

Rhodan then has an idea to keep the Cappins prisoners of the Satellite in hope that they will deactivate it in order not to be destroyed when the sun turns into a nova. Ovaron II learns about the attack that happened a few days prior from the positronic computer and the teleporters bring him before Rhodan.

Ovaron II understands the situation when he sees Ovaron I and he pronounces the word Tajkonder, which unlocks Ovaron I's memories. Ovaron I now knows why his memory was wiped: so that he wouldn't create a time paradox when he meets Rhodan eighteen years later, so he asks Ovaron II to go ahead with the initial plan and have his memory erased. Before submitting himself to the procedure, Ovaron II leaves a note for Moshaken outing a traitor on their crew, who was discovered by Pucky.

With his memory erased, Ovaron II leaves for the Earth on June 28th and Ovaron I helps the Terrans obtain six grams of pure hexagonium.

Ovaron says that the purpose of the genetic experiments of the Takerians is to create entire civilization of potential pedotransfer hosts for the Cappins. The death satellite will be used as a transfer base to make traveling easier for the Cappins. Initially, only the bearers of the tryzome, such as Ovaron, were capable of pedotransfer, but the Takerians have found a way to install this ability on regular Cappins now.

Recent communications announce that a powerful Dabrifan fleet is on its way to the Solar System so Rhodan decides to go ahead with the plan and to surround the Solar System into a SH energy field as soon as it reappears in the present.

The explosion of the death satellite is triggered and causes Mercury and Venus to get severely damaged by the blast, but nothing that was not already expected. The Solar System appears in the present time just as the Dabrifan fleet materializes in the outskirts of Pluto.

The resistance against Dabrifa, led by Omaring Ligzuta, seizes this opportunity to start its offensive and manages to win over 200 of the 600 planets of the Dabrifa empire, including the main palace of the dictator. At the end of November 3437, Perry Rhodan and his team discover in the archives on Molakesch some protected information regarding the plans of the Takerers. These plans map out the Takerer strategy for the conquest and control of Gruelfin. For them the Time X has arrived - in other words, the time of the expected return of the Ganjo. By defeating Ovaron while at the same time presenting a false Ganjo, they want to unite all the races of the Gruelfin galaxy and, in addition, capture the legendary Ganjasans who have remained in hiding for the last 200,000 years. They also foresee the conquest of the Milky Way by the action of pedo-transfers (psycho-transfers).

While it is approaching Molakesch, four Takerer vessels attack a vessel of the Moritators which carries one of the “wise ones”. The “wise ones” are the only Moritators who can identify the true Ganjo just by looking at him. The Terrans cannot prevent the Moritators’ pyramid-shaped vessel from being destroyed and the “wise one” on board from being captured. Under Atlan’s leadership, the MARCO POLO and its large complement of light cruisers pursue the fleeing Takerer vessels. Shortly afterwards Ovaron is identified by an old data bank on the archive planet. Unfortunately it triggers a Takerer device, provoking an atomic fire on Molakesch. The light cruiser CMP-1, which had remained on Molakesch under Rhodan’s leadership, takes over 6,000 inhabitants of the planet on board and departs Molakesch on the evening of November 29. Shortly afterwards Molakesch disintegrates into a gas cloud. The survivors have been crammed into every corner of the small cruiser which is only 100 meters in diameter. The MARCO POLO circles in the orientation protection of a sun. Suddenly, Ovaron collapses. Also the Mutants are affected, however, not as strongly as Ovaron. They sense only a certain nausea. Ovaron wakes up once again and says with a clear voice: "It is the machinery of the MARCO POLO!" Then he once again he lapses into unconscious.

The MARCO POLO is met by unidentifiable six-dimensional impulses many times recently. The station for these impulses seems to change its location throughout Gruelfin. In the proximity of the Terran ship, Takerer fleets appear. The Takerers now seem to be looking for the MARCO POLO systematically.

In the infirmary, the physicians are helpless. Ovaron is unconscious and twists in pain despite the strongest medications. The machinery of the MARCO POLO apparently respond with Ovaron's Tryzom-Bodies. Only as the ship leaves linear space and goes into free space despite the orientation danger, and all machines are stopped, does also the six-dimensional impulses also stop. Ovaron recovers fast.

The leading personalities of the MARCO POLO discuss whether something happens in Gruelfin similar to the time when Perry Rhodan had to solve the "galactic puzzle" in order to attain immortality. It is determined that further tests are needed.

A short time later Ovaron moans. Something forces him to perform a Pedotransfer. Ovaran jumps form Terran to Terran. The takeover-attempts can be repulsed, but all those taken over by him sense Ovaron's cruel pains. Perry Rhodan decides to take on his friend and lodge him in his body for the time being. After three hours, Ovaron calms down again and the second test is finished.

Only a short time later the radio-headquarters intercepts a hyper-message that announces the galactic position of the MARCO POLO. The ship must change its position quickly. In a short period of time, the Takerer fleets race to the position of the MARCO POLO. Then Schekonu, the Wise One, determines the crucial piece of information - the change calipers are the source of all the problems. Unfortunately, the change calipers are an important component of the Transdimensional (Dimesexta)-Drive. Although not in operation, the change calipers emit six-dimensional impulses that can be located by the Takerers.

The impulses cannot be stopped or prevented. The ejection of the change calipers remains as the single possibility to save the MARCO POLO. However, the Transdimensional (Dimesexta)-Drive will not work without the change calipers, thereby preventing the MARCO POLO from ever returning to the Milky Way. Despite protests and serious arguments by Elas Korom-Khan, Pawo Restonow and Pradin Lutzow, Perry Rhodan decides that the change calipers must be ejected. This ship is trapped in Gruelfin with this action. However, the ship now is able to successfully evade the Takerers. With this the third test is complete.

A short time later Ovaron gets an encoded message over his combo-armband. Ovaron is asked by the sender to land on the "Planet of the First Love". The planet is identified by Ovaron as Lohkrath, its real name. It was called the "Planet of the First Love" by the sender of the message because it was on this planet that Ovaron fell in love with a Cappin maiden named Na'Neila two hundred thousand years ago. The MARCO POLO sets out for the venue with the great unknown.

Lohkrath has no atmosphere. The ship follows the unknown's instructions and lands in close proximity to a high plateau. On the high plateau, four domes appear. Perry Rhodan is welcomed before the domes by an old man, whom the OLD ONE is called. While Perry Rhodan enters the station, the change calipers hover from a airlock of the domes. The MARCO POLO immediately takes the change calipers on board again.

The OLD ONE asks Perry Rhodan to wait a little bit longer and sends him back again to the MARCO POLO.

471 - Der letzte Test
The Last Test
William Voltz

The Taschkar, who is celebrating the Ocscha Festival, receives a mysterious radio-message which induces him to leave the planet Takera with a fleet. His goal is the planet Lohkrath, on which the MARCO POLO has landed.

On the MARCO POLO, one still wonders about the OLD ONE. Also the Mutants cannot give any information since the OLD ONE is protected by parapsychic abilities. The tensions between the Terrans and the two Cappins, Ovaron and Merceile, occur again but this time much more severely. Ovaron trusts the OLD ONE warily, while the Terrans, and particularly Atlan, do not trust the OLD ONE at all.

The first meeting between the OLD ONE, Perry Rhodan and Ovaron takes place on the high plateau. The OLD ONE acknowledges Ovaron as Ganjo. As Ovaron informs him that the reconquest of the Gruelfin galaxy will not be so simple, the OLD ONE becomes confused and retreats into his dome in order to only appear again 20 hours later. He asks Ovaron and Perry Rhodan to a last test.

He leads Ovaron, Perry Rhodan, and six other crew members of the MARCO POLO (mutants, the Paladin, etc.) into a big room. Ovaron and Rhodan must sit down in chairs, tabs placed over their eyes and electrodes placed on their heads. They lose the consciousness. The test is, for both, a fight against the Bionten. They experience scenes in the dream and must respond. For Ovaron, the dream becomes absolutely the reality. On the other hand, Perry Rhodan can escape the dream more and more thanks to some much needed help from Whisper.

The test yields that both Rhodan and Ovaron have justifiable and important concerns. As a result, the test was inconclusive. The OLD ONE clearly cannot come to a decision. He doesn't respond like a normal human nature. However, Rhodan and Ovaron come to an agreement: Rhodan wants to support Ovaron since he cannot proceed in a military manner against the Takerers. He needs the Ganjasen.

The OLD ONE manipulates some circuits after it, and the building begins to vibrate. The OLD ONE even disintegrates. Obviously he was a robot. The station of the OLD ONE begins to self-destruct. At this time, the MARCO POLO's sensors detect a fleet of the Takerers. The Taschkar has personally arrived in order to determine the source of the 6-D Impulses on the planet Lohkrath.

The visitors to the station are trapped since both Teleporters who accompanied Ovaron and Rhodan are made inoperative. Thus, they don't have any possibility to reach the MARCO POLO. Perry Rhodan orders Roi Danto the take off in order to protect the ship from annihilation at the hands of the Takerers. The MARCO POLO barely succeeds in escaping from the planet.

The eight personnel of the MARCO POLO who are trapped in the station experience the bombardment of the planet by the Takerers in the lowermost level of the station. The Takerer troops search the station for them and they are captured. They are brought on board the flagship of the fleet. Pucky hides his equipment and his cell activator in the paladin and plays a half-intelligent pet. The paladin acts as a stupid Cyclops whom the others must lead. The Takerers are deceived by this trick.

472 - Das violette Feuer
The Violet Fire
Clark Darlton

On the MARCO POLO, it is observed how the Taschkar captures the Terran commando-group on Lohkrath. The ship follows the Takerer fleet until this splits ups shortly before reaching the Greytonor System. Roi Danton now lets Schekonu brief him about the Greytonor-System, the VALOSAR (Secret underground Marsav Headquarters) and about the Marsav itself. Since the MARCO POLO has so far remained undetected, Danton decides to wait in a safe observation-position in a nearby located solar system which is named Point Davis. Schekonu leaves the MARCO POLO with the CMP-1, in order to procure a ship of the Moritatoren, with which a rescue-operation should be undertaken.

Meanwhile, the Taschkar hands over his prisoners to the chief of the Marsav, Ginkorasch. The Terrans are accommodated within the VALOSAR in three separate rooms: Ovaron, Atlan and Perry Rhodan in the first, Merkosh and Takvorian in the second, Pucky, Ras Tschubai and the Paladin in the third. Perry Rhodan succeeds in convincing the Taschkar and Ginkorasch that Pucky and the Paladin are harmless and unintelligent companions. Takvorian is successful in putting the supervision facilities out of order in the cells. Superficial medical examinations are performed. Now, the prisoners can discuss their plans without worrying; Pucky teleports back and forth several times between the rooms in order to inform everyone on the newest developments. Furthermore, he and Ras Tschubai can procure an overview over the VALOSAR for themselves with some reconnaissance jumps.

Perry Rhodan, Ovaron and Atlan on the other hand are repeatedly escorted to interrogations at which both Ginkorasch and the Taschkar are present. After a short time, Rhodan confronts his host with the accusation that the Takerers plan a war of aggression against the Milky Way. As a result, the friendly behavior of the Taschkar changes. He tries to take over Atlan per Pedotransfer. This can be prevented by Pucky and Takvorian. Rhodan informs the Taschkar after it that the cell-activators of the Terrans are appliances, that prevent Pedotransfers. He continues this fiction by stating there are millions of such appliances already in the Milky Way which condemns the Taschkar's invasion plans to failure. Furthermore, each of the defense appliances are individually specific to its bearer. The Taschkar immediately tests this statement with a Rukal which immediately dies when putting on Atlan's cell activator. Rhodan's final bluff is that a cell-activator is destroyed within 15 minutes with a Six dimensional explosion as soon as it is no more with its owner. This Taschkar also believes this without proof and leaves the Terrans with their cell activators.

On the MARCO POLO, Danton has waited anxiously for Schekonu's return for two days. Finally, he sends the Lightning Jet Pilot Sylvio Maron and his companion Rain Corner into the Greytonor-System on a reconnaissance mission. The Lightning penetrates undisturbed into the badly guarded system with half the speed of light since it is considered a meteorite. Maron lands at a protected place on the 33rd planet. However, the place chosen by him is the preferred trip destination of Calimasch, the commander of the Marsav watch station of the planet. Shortly after the landing of the Lightning Jet, Calimasch goes with a glider to the lonesome summit where also Maron and Corner are. Maron and Calimash are able to communicate. Calimash turns out to be a doubter - admittedly loyal and devoted to the Marsav - however secretly, hoping for the Ganjo. He confirms that there are rumors about Terran prisoners on Takera and promises not to report the reconnaissance team's presence. He cannot give more information for secrecy reasons, and so Maron and Corner with the gathered intelligence start back to the MARCO POLO.

The prisoners on Takera are transferred into a community room. Also here, the observation appliances can be made inconspicuously useless. Rhodan plans to break out at the next opportunity. However, the Taschkar and Ginkorasch are able to move against the Team team first. A group-interrogation with a psycho-tester is on the agenda. The Taschkar promises to free the group as soon as he has all the wished information. At this critical moment, the room is enveloped by a violet fire, and the Terran commando team is suddenly moved to another location.

473 - Die verrückten Roboter
The Crazy Robots
H.G. Ewers

Perry Rhodan, Atlan, Ovaron, Pucky, Ras Tschubai, Merkosh, Takvorian and the Paladin are transported from the interrogation hall of the Taschkar into a station on the floor of the Taka Sea. They are welcomed by a robot-voice that sounds like a "crazy" robot (according to an analysis by Drof Retekin within the Paladin). In the nearest hall, that the team enters, they are welcomed by 54 robots (vassals), of which four stand under the command of the Ganjo. The four robots report that the other vassals were unprogrammed by the Taschkar. However, the four good vassals (themselves) reacted to the mental emergency-signal of the Ganjo and initiated the transportation.

Ovaron demands to be brought to safety with his companions. The vassals concede him this, however they insist that the Ganjo’s "foreign companions” must be killed. Thanks to the Teleporters, Pucky and Tschubai, the Terrans can escape. However, Ovaron voluntarily remains behind in order to tame the robots (vassals). In security for the time being, the Terrans separate and begin with the reconnaissance of the abandoned submarine city.

During the reconnaissance, Ras Tschubai meets the robot Unkel 1143 that was the servant of the Taschkar Bironasch once and now seeks a new master. He promises to lead Tschubai and Pucky to the control center of the present Taschkar. On the way, they run into Rhodan, who found, in a newer section of the station, construction workers who were murdered by the present Taschkar. They find the Taschkar in a control center where he tries in vain to regain control over the vassals. However, the headquarters is protected by force fields and they must return to the original venue. Also the other expeditionary members report about their uncanny experiences in the abandoned sub-sea-city.

The vassals pursue the Terrans through a trap-labyrinth until they can retreat into a shrine. However, it is soon established that this place of refuge is deceptive, because it is the tomb of Bironasch, which is very well equipped with traps and dangerous robots. They manage to barely succeed in escaping from the shrine, and the companions decide to insert a longer rest. After the dawn, Tschubai and Pucky give Ovaron a visit. The Ganjo is making progress with the vassals. However, he still does not control them. Perry Rhodan proposes that Ovaron apply the X-Logik that was developed by Ras Tschubai at some time in the past, in order to win the control over the robots.

On the basis of Rhodan’s supposition, that the grave-installation of Bironasch also guards the secrets of the incumbent Taschkar, the remaining companions return to the shrine and work their way through the various trap-systems. Because the vassals - who are considered enemies of the former sovereign of Takera - pursue the group, a positronic supervision computer system believes that the members of the Terran team are allies of the deceased Bironasch and activates another transmitter in order to save them.

474 - Das Duell der Mächtigen
The Duel Of The Mighty
Hans Kneifel

The CMP-1 comes back with Schekonu to the MARCO POLO, that still is in the orientation-protection of Point Davis. Schekonu announces the arrival of a Moritatoren ship, with which a rescue-operation should be started on Takera. Joaquin Manuel Cascal and Fellmer Lloyd will go with 48 further Terrans on board of the ship.

Meanwhile, begins on Takera, in the VALOSAR, a new day. Perry Rhodan, Atlan, Ras Tschubai, Pucky, Takvorian, Merkosh and the Paladin were separated from Ovaron with their last transmitter jump. They now must clear a way for themselves through the volcano Motah and are threatened on that occasion not only by ancient technical installations and energy beings but, because of the destruction they cause along the way, also by earth and seaquakes, lava and water break-ins.

After an hours-long march, they achieve four kilometers of height, and Ras Tschubai can teleport to Ovaron. Ovaron has won a limited control with the X-Logik over the crazy vassals meanwhile. Also indications of a mysterious Proto-Mother are among the crazy news that they communicate to the Ganjo. Ovaron suspects that the vassals are autonomous elements of a much bigger Positronic Machine (Brain).

Moreover, the team succeeds with another view-contact with the Taschkar who still serves a switch-desk, in order to recover the control over the installations of the VALOSAR. Six dimensional energy-fields prevent another attack on his position. However, lava now penetrates into the energy-stations, that provide the protection-fields with power, and one after the other the force fields around the Taschkar’s control center collapse. The Paladin and the Taschkar begin a fight. The weapons cannot penetrate the protection-fields of the other in each case, however the Terrans become aware of the emergency transmitter of the Takerer.

Ovaron can report that the behavior of the up to now crazy vassals suddenly is normal. They radiate Dakkar and Six Dimensional Signals, and an unintelligable answer takes place. The vassals are destroyed after it from indoors out. Ras Tschubai saves Ovaron from the hall, in which the Ganjo was, and brings him to the remaining team's position.

After Takvorian made his protection-field useless, the Taschkar dies in a duel with Rhodan. Until the very end, the Tashkar refused to emerge and surrender. Rhodan is disappointed since he had wanted to capture the Taschkar alive. The Terrans can flee from the breakdown of the station over the Taschkar’s emergency transmitter that must be repaired first. The place, at which they rematerialize, is unknown but no dangers lurk there for the moment.

475 - Der große Vasall
The Giant Vassal
William Voltz

Perry Rhodan, Ovaron, Atlan, Ras Tschubai, Pucky, Takvorian, Merkosh and the Paladin end up in unknown surroundings after their unexpected transportation by a transmitter. After sleeping, the companions are awakened by a six-dimensional radiation that places the team's teleporters out of action. Then, an attack by red, uniformed monsters takes place. These monsters belong to the lifeguard of the Taschkar. They are led by Blokh who can control the Thunderbolt-Team by means of suggestion. Merkosh can expel him initially.

The Terran team can repulse the monster-attack and begin with a reconnaissance-action, during which they discover airless rooms. Cool Aracan reports that they are in a gigantic station that cannot possibly still be within the VALOSAR. This proves to be especially dangerous since none of the members of the team possess spacesuits, and Atlan suspects that they are in a space-station. Still, they discover other central premises and also a room with openings that appear to serve as occupation slots for vassals. Rhodan, Ovaron and Atlan conclude from it that they are in a collective-station for vassals and invent the term "Collector" for it.

Meanwhile, Ginkorasch, up to now the Chief of the Marsav, has taken over the office of the Taschkar and pursues the progress of his purges. He is informed also by the robot station of the VALOSAR, which now stands under his command, that his predecessor in the year 3330 found in the universe a damaged spaceship, to which he gave the name "Collector." The structure was subsequently developed into the escape-bastion of the Taschkar and circles about the planet Tschukmar. Most information about the Collector was deleted by the old Taschkar. After he informs himself as best he can, Ginkorasch plans to gain control of the Collector and to recover also the control with it over those stations of the VALOSAR which can only be steered from the Collector.

During a renewed skirmish with the monsters under Blokh, the Paladin is separated from Rhodan’s team and is damaged. After a while, however, the Thunderbolts succeed with repairing it, and they regain contact with Rhodan, who meanwhile has negotiated unsuccessfully with the unfit Blokh. Rhodan’s companions bind the giant and embark on the search for the escape-possibility that Blokh had mentioned. However, Block can successfully remove the shackles after a while and now alarms the entire lifeguard, in that he places the Collector into vibrations. Afterwards he collapses exhausted and is found by Petaskanen, who murder their hated commander.

The team about Rhodan now must deal with a big attack of the Tashkar’s uniformed lifeguard. A faulty-circuit in the Collector suddenly causes a vassal-net to come off from the ceiling, and bury all fighters under itself. The lifeguard of the Taschkar as well as the companions of Rhodan are now helpless. The Thunderbolt-Team can launch a space-lentil, which destroys the controls that can move the net. After a while, the net is lifted again to its original position, and the fight continues. The lifeguard comes shortly before a total victory but then it suddenly gives up and retreats from the invaders.

Ginkorasch arrives on the Collector and becomes familiar with some of the switch-installations. After some consideration, he activates the suggestive-projectors in order to call the lifeguard to himself and seizes the control of the individual-impulse-programming over them. Then, a message from Takera arrives which informs him that a resistance-organization of the Wesakenos allows the spread of a rumor regarding ganjasin activities on Takera. Ginkorasch orders the Marsav to wait and to collect information since he will take care of the fragmentation of this resistance organization personally. He then continues to examine and experiment with the circuits within the Collector and activates circuits whose function is not quite clear to him. This has dire consequences within the Collector.

The chaos breaks out within the Collector. The repair shifting of walls, ceilings and rooms that was interrupted more than 108 years before resumes. While Rhodan and his companions are transported in an elevator-room by the Collector, Ginkorasch escapes through his Transmitter and comes back to the mountain Motah.

After some further dangerous incidents, Rhodan’s companions can reach into a dome-room, from where they can win an overview of the entire collector and its surroundings. Furthermore, they find the space-yacht of the Taschkar.

476 - Der Schrecken von Takera
The Horror Of Takera
Hans Kneifel

The Moritator Lavascha, who Schekonu had found, finally arrives on board of the MARCO POLO. After initially hesitating, he becomes confident that a rescue-mission must be undertaken into the Greytonor System, first and foremost in order to save the Ganjo Ovaron and his companions Perry Rhodan and Atlan. Fifty Moritatoren remain on board the MARCO POLO in order to develop the relationship between Gruelfin and the Milky Way. Fifty Terrans in Moritatoren clothing go on board of the LAVASZA, led by Joaquin Manuel Cascal, Commander LaGrange Tuscalosa and Fellmer Lloyd.

Unhindered, the LAVASZA flies into the Greytonor-System. However, they intercept newscasts from the Takerer, that the former Marsav Chief, Ginkorasch, has taken over the power as Taschkar. No other ships besides the LAVASZA get approach permission into the system. Lavascha pretends, in honor of the new Taschkar, to want to organize in the stadium in Taschkanor a "Ganjo will come Show" in order to give the new Taschkar additional legitimation. Actually, Lavascha, together with Escraplan, have established an underground-organization on Takera, which delivers information to the Moritatoren. Cascal should contact Escroplan and with it collect information over Rhodan's location. Meanwhile, Lloyd should try to pick up the thought-impulses of Rhodan and his companions.

In Taschkanor, however, chaos prevails: The secret-police of the Taschkar carries out a big operation against dissidents and alleged opponents of the Taschkar and even shoots people in the open on the streets. Also Escroplan and his organization are uncovered and only with effort can the Terrans and Moritatoren succeed with the escape through a Transmitter to the Wesakenos under Miraltan that also is secretly active on Takera. From there, they all finally reach again to the LAVASZA. The appearance in the stadium now is canceled by the Marsav: it is boring, against the will of the people, the stadium already is busy and the security-officials are on vacation. Lavascha takes this as an insult, and after a search of the LAVASZA, he gets clearance for take-off.

Meanwhile, Rhodan, Atlan, Ovaron, Pucky, Takvorian, Ras Tschubai, Merkosh and the Paladin can capture the personal yacht of the old Taschkar, that lies anchored in the Collector. Ovaron radiates the identification signal of the Taschkar while the Paladin destroys the dome, that prevents the companions from the start. However, The signal of the old Taschkar is now invalid, and immediately, the units of the Takerer hunt for the yacht. Fortunately, Lloyd can receive the thought impulses of Pucky and exactly in time the Teleporter can bring all his companions safely on board the LAVASZA. The Takerer hold Rhodan and Ovaron for dead..

The LAVASZA is inspected a second time, this time in space. Since however, Lavascha installed hidden compartments in the ship, the Takerer cannot find anything. The adventure of the eight companions on Takera is finally past.

477 - Invasion der Schatten
Invasion Of The Shadows
H.G. Ewers

By command of the Taschkar, Karam Akanjii, commander of the Takerers in the Milky Way, should begin with the Pedoinvasion. He executes this command dutifully...

The EX-BOX 123 under the command of Kalan Zorkh comes back to Olymp after one year of reconnaissance in the Eastside of the Milky Way. Emperor Anson Argyris prepares a cordial reception for the Terrans as well as the Colonial Terrans.

The next morning begins with a series of attacks: The ALVAMIRA fires on the Hypertronzapfer at the Olymp North Pole station. The automatic defense-forts shoot at the ship, there are further faulty-functions, and before Anson Argyris can give instructions to the population of the planet, the hyper-video state-station on Olymp is cancelled. Also the Transmitter street into the Sol System is cancelled, and on Olymp chaos reigns.

In the Sol System, Balton Wyt is sent into the use. He arrives with the SPARTA in the Boscyk System. However, the watch-cruiser LOVELY BOSCYK abruptly fires on the ship of the solar fleet. Wyt quickly comprehends that Takerer Pedotransferers are at the work here, and arrives on board the LOVELY BOSCYK with an armed landing party. He finds the commander, Kimray Wyt, and puts the Pedotransferers to flight.

Once the SPARTA lands on Olymp, Wyt can initially get some rest before Argyris informs him about the situation. Balton Wyt inspects the North Pole Station and can identify and eliminate six taken over technicians as well as the director. However it becomes clear in view of the innumerable sabotage acts that the operation-base of the Takerer must be located and taken out as quickly as possible. The suspected location of this base in on Fireplace, one of the inner planets of the Boscyk System, and the two Wyts go there. They actually do discover a cavity finally, however they ultimately determine that only a mighty essence, that surrounds itself with illusions, is alive there. A base of the Takerer is not found, and so the two Wyts come back again to Olymp.

There, also the emperor himself now is the victim of a Pedotransferer attack. The plasma-part of his brain is mastered by Akanjii, however the Positronic portion of his brain fights against the takeover with success. The Vario-500 rants uncontrollably through its palace and leaves behind itself a trail of destruction. His secretary, Phyl Amant, can lock him up successfully in a trap-labyrinth. Balton Wyt follows the emperor, however he cannot stop him. The Vario-500 finally succeeds in bringing an additional-station of the control-installations for the palace to the collapse, and the Takerer flees from the plasma portion of the emperor's brain. Argyris is again himself. However, he is also, unfortunately, buried under a mountain of rubble. Balton Wyt seizes the governmental power "by virtue of my authority over Olymp and the system of the free-traders" while, at the same time, Ribald Corello arrives in the system.

478 - Die Schlacht um Olymp
The Battle Around Olymp
H.G. Ewers

Balton Wyt has taken over the governmental power on Olymp and receives, as head of state of the free traders, Reginald Bell, Julian Tifflor and Ribald Corello, who arrive on the space-harbor Tercho with the CARTHAGE. The landing field is attacked by fight-robots that, however, can be repelled without human losses. During the battle, also the Space-Jet of the kamashite fauna-master Lesska Lokoshan is shot down. However, the passenger can escape with a capsule.

The Haluter, Kalan Zorkh, who has been taken over by the Takerer leader, Karam Akanjii, is present at a conference of the Terran leaders and learns on that occasion that the USO-Specialist Arvil Rouman collected information about the invaders. Akanjii-Zorkh immediately returns to the operation-base of the Takerer, the EX-BOX 123, from where the prosecution order to pursue and kill Rouman is given by Akanjii. Rouman actually is killed before he meets with Balton Wyt in a submarine station on Olymp, and only with good luck and the support of Bell and Galbraith Deighton can Wyt escape the attack of the Cappins, that is executed by a Phylonier who has been taken over by a Takerer. After some time, the Terrans are rescued from the sub-sea station.

Meanwhile, Takerer attacks are committed also on Terra. The destruction of the laboratory Candela-1, in which the Waringer Team tests the pioneered Pedotraps, with which Pedotransferers can be caught, is especially tragic. The scientists are asked by Admiral Ivan Markoff to intensify their efforts.

The Vario-500 can finally be rescued. Since his Argyris Mask is disabled, he takes over the governmental power on Olymp disguised as Prince Huron Palater. The attack on Anson Argyris by the loyal Maorghys, an Olymp leadership-squad, can be repulsed by Lesska Lokoshan. The Mutant Wyt and Corello are put into action in order to recognize those important personalities who have been taken over by the Takerers and, if possible, to disable them. However, they are only partially successful. Corello must repulse takeover-attempts on the one hand and must fight the saboteurs on the other hand, who don't have second thoughts also about the use of atomic weapons in huge numbers. Because Corello with his defense-attempts accidentally kills hundreds of people, Lesska Lokoshan is assigned to him as an "instinct-guard".

Meanwhile, NATHAN has determined that the Posbi Ship EX-BOX 123 is the possible center of the Cappin Invasion, and also Huron Palater has become suspicious about Zorkh. Corello and Lokoshan go into action on board the Posbi BOX, and can prove that the Takerers hide in the spaceship. In the meantime, the invaders concentrate no more on military but on medical and civilian goals and commit many terror acts. The EX-BOX is stormed by fight-robots, and Kalan Zorkh, now free of the Takerer Akanjii, can give information about the Pedopeiler, from which the Takerers transferred on board the EX-BOX 123.

However, the Takerers are still on Olymp and commit attacks. Julian Tifflor alarms the 24th heavy battle-fleet and ventures into the Eastside with it, where the Pedopeiler is found quickly thanks to Zorkh's statements. After the bombardment, even with transform-bombs, remains ineffective, Corello and Lokoshan sign on for a risky mission with a space-lentil. Corello can destroy the Pedopeiler by means of his telepsimatic powers. A distress signal from the Pedopeiler induced the return from Olymp of all the Pedotransferers who subsequently die with the destruction of the Pedopeiler.

479 - Ganjo-Alarm
Ganjo-Alarm
Clark Darlton

The Terrans on board the MARCO POLO wait for new events that will give them an indication of how they can either thwart the invasion preparations of the Takerers or how they can find the Ganjasens. The MARCO POLO receives the “Ganjo Alarm”, which comes from the Aroch System, and the Terrans leave the orientation protection of point Davis to investigate the origin of the signal.

On the ice-planet Cham live the primitive Chamyros, fish-human beings, that are in a constant fight for survival with the rough climate and with other hostile Chamyro tribes. One of the Chamyros is a telepath, and with it a valuable addition to his tribe. The telepath’s name is Hamart and as he receives (during one of his reconnaissance-trips) cries for help from another telepath, he immediately gets going to free the unknown telepath from his emergency-situation. The other telepath turns out to be a giant-octopus named Guyl. The two telepaths become friends and get going in order to explore one of the oldest legends of the Chamyros: A station on the seafloor.

On the way, they meet the also telepathically gifted Dronal, and, soon afterwards, the trio can find the ganjasen station. Guyl clears a way for them into the station. While Guyl fights with robots and angrily dismantles the station, Hamart explores the dome and operates circuits indiscriminately. On that occasion he also inadvertently triggers the Ganjo-Alarm and then gets trapped in an awakening Collector, which rests in the planet-crust of Cham. The Collector rises from the sea and, in so doing, it changes the surface of the planet massively.

The MARCO POLO arrives at the planet, and Perry Rhodan sends a team to explore the situation. Initially, Pucky questions Dronal who is now the single member of the trio still in the station on the seafloor, and can save Hamart from the Collector thanks to his portrayals. After an interrogation on the MARCO POLO, with which it is established that the alarm was caused only inadvertently, Hamart is brought back to Cham. Pucky also meets the giant-octopus Guyl on that occasion, who leaves a lasting impression on him.

480 - Der Dieb von Gruelfin
The Thief Of Gruelfin
William Voltz

Captain Mercedes catches Mason Grammick in the act of the procuring new spare parts for Folly Utter.

The MARCO POLO follows the Collector from the Cham System, that moves in the direction of the galactic periphery. After the third linear-stage, the Collector suddenly attacks - 2000 vassals emerge from it and open fire on the Terran long distance spaceship. The vassals can be repulsed easily. Suddenly, Ovaron receives dakkarcom signals that forbid the Collector from carrying out further attacks against the MARCO POLO. Unchecked, the MARCO POLO follows the Collector as far as to the Terrosch Red Cloud, where several thousand further Vassals (Collectors) are present.

It takes a long time in order to persuade Ovaron to use his armband dakkarcom. Two hours after he does finally send a message over his armband, Florymonth appears on board. He is considered an ambassador of the Ganjasen by Perry Rhodan and Ovaron and the crew is given orders not to touch or interfere with him. The clumsy, green-skinned giant becomes active during the following hours as an “aggregate-collector (thief)”. Among other things, he steals a denture, an observatory data-storage unit, instruments and parts from the fire control- and radio-headquarters, Folly Utter, and a SERT-hood. Professor Tajiri Kase and Roi Danton, who pursue Florymonth, cannot win any meaningful realizations from his bizarre behavior. Meanwhile, all officers, engineers and scientists, in whose area of activity Florymonth steals objects, formally protest to Perry Rhodan. The ship’s crew is on the edge of mutiny.

However the theft series finally finishes and Ovaron can give Florymonth commands. The giant undergoes a change and, as a result, 10,000 Collectors in the Terrosch Red Cloud beam a powerful signal, per Dakkarcom, throughout Gruelfin stating that the Ganjo has returned. Then Florymonth declares that he will bring the Ganjo back to the Ganjasen. However, his companions are to be destroyed by the Collectors. From this point of view, Florymonth is not moved even after long discussions with Rhodan, Atlan, Ovaron, Danton and Merceile. Finally, Rhodan decides in favor of a trick: Ovaron should take him over, and then, Rhodan/Ovaron will come together with Atlan/Merceile with Florymonth. The bodies of the two Cappins should remain on board of the MARCO POLO and, consequently, should secure the further existence of the ship. The Positronic brain of Florymonth has no choice but to accept this compromise and builds a transmitter in his body, through which Rhodan’s and Atlan’s bodies step. Florymonth vanishes after it. The MARCO POLO remains behind in the Terrosch Red Cloud, surrounded by Collectors.

481 - Die Clique der Verräter
The Clique Of The Traitors
William Voltz

From the planet Parkos-Lesch, five Kreminen are abducted and over many centuries are changed through an agonizing process by the Pedolotsen (leaders of a Ganjasen religious sect) into a Pedo-trap. One finds out the distressful history of the Kreminen Krecster-Kalopcs.

Perry Rhodan and Atlan come out through Florymonth’s transmitter in a gigantic hall, that is in the center of the Terrosch Red Cloud. Also Florymonth appears and informs Rhodan and Atlan as well as the pedotransfered Ovaron and Merceile (who are in Rhodan’s and Atlan’s bodies) about the nature of the space station they are now in. With the energy, that is won from the gas-cloud, it is prevented, that the cloud conglomerates into a sun. The surplus energy is derived into the hyperspace. Florymonth refers to a gigantic transmitter and insists that the four companions step through it.

Meanwhile, the Pedolotsen learn about the activity of the installations in the Terrosch Red Cloud and prepares for the neutralization of the Ganjo. The Sextolotse Guvalasch, leader of the Pedolotsen, survives a confrontation with a competitor, who would like to take his position. After arriving in the station where the Pedo-trap is located, the Pedolotsen take their position as a reception-committee. It is a shock for them that no one of the two arrivals is the Ganjo. They initially do not realize that Ovaron is in Rhodan’s body.

However, Guvalasch quickly adjusts to the changed situation and decides not to kill Rhodan and Atlan but to hold them for the time being as prisoners. The strange situation procures the total control for him over the remaining Pedolotsen, who had not expected a failure of their plan. While the Pedolotsen discuss the current situation in a neighboring room, Rhodan and Atlan suddenly attack the robot guards since, in a moment of panic, Merceile’s consciousness left Atlan and, as a result, is now stuck in the Pedo-trap. She finds herself occupying the minds of the five Kreminen. Rhodan can escape with Florymonth and finally finds the room, in which the Pedo-trap is. Soon, Guvalasch as well as the Pedolotsen with their Robot-soldiers and the caught Atlan reach the room after them. As Rhodan and Atlan emerge and surrender once again, Florymonth begins a fire skirmish, during which the Pedo-trap is destroyed and all five Kreminen finally find a merciful death. Merceile manages to escape from the Kreminen bodies at the last minute and return to Atlan’s body. Florymonth can cover the escape of Rhodan/Ovaron and Atlan/Merceile before he dissolves into nothingness.

The Pedolotsen give up a personal pursuit of their fleeing prisoners, who are ultimately captured by the Robot-guards of the Ganjasen anyhow.

482 - Die Feinde des Ganjos
The Enemies Of The Ganjo
Hans Kneifel

Two days have passed since Perry Rhodan and Atlan left the MARCO POLO. The Terran flagship is surrounded more and more densely by Collectors. Joaquin Manuel Cascal and LaGrange Tuscalosa ponder about the present situation when the first attacks of Paralipophobie occur - they wrongly understand a "fear of the threatening catastrophe" by this expression.

Ovaron transmits an encoded Morse Code message through a pulsation of his pseudo-body: MDFH, which when decoded means, that a severe danger threatens. On board of the MARCO POLO, the personnel should be careful and act after much thought since Ovaron fears a trap. This message brings Roi Danton, who occupies the expeditionary leadership in Rhodan’s absence, little new findings, especially since also the Mutants receive incomprehensible Sextadim-impulses, that they interpret as threatening danger.

Meanwhile, the three Pedolotsen, Heperyn, Naskalay and Fenateryn, have arrived in the central station of the Terrosch Red Cloud and prepare to implement their plan, the Operation WOBOSCH-III, that they had arranged with the Urmutter.

The Collectors suddenly attack the MARCO POLO. Roi Danton puts down a message to the Urmutter and tells her about Ovaron’s presence on board. Some Collectors and their vassals are destroyed before the Urmutter can process the message and break off the attack. The Urmutter finally answers and assures that the MARCO POLO is now safe. She is ready to negotiate. Soon afterwards, Florymonth appears and explains, that the Pedolotsen want to meet with the Terrans.

Instead of placing in movement the MARCO POLO, Danton induces that a Commando Team composed of ten people is put together. He picks Cascal, Tuscalosa, Claudia Chabrol, Pucky, Lord Zwiebus, Icho Tolot, Tioga Hillcrest, Alaska Saedelaere, the Paladin and Ras Tschubai. They are brought by a Space-Jet on board of a Collector. After their arrival in the center of the Terrosch Red Cloud, they are emitted by a Transmitter into the main station.

The three Pedolotsen are in the contact-room for the Urmutter and don't have any idea that more creatures are on board. Pucky cannot read their thoughts, however, he is able to determine a hostile intent. He brings three of the Siganesens of the Paladin to the location of the Pedolotsen. They then eavesdrop on the Pedolotsen. The Pedolotsen induce the Urmutter to withdraw 2,851 Collectors. They have a good reason for it but they pursue only one contingency plan: The Collectors should link themselves together and the Urmutter will eventually take over control of the emerging fragment. However, they will act quickly and annihilate the MARCO POLO with this huge collector fragment before the Urmutter can intervene.

The three Siganesens can eavesdrop on this plan, while the rest of the Terran reconnaissance team separates and explores the station. The companions hold contact with each other only over radio. Pucky is knocked out by a cleaning-robot with a toxic cleaner. Tolot saves him only by accident. The team picks out a recuperation-center as their headquarters in the station and separates after it, in order to still reach the two switch-stations before the Pedolotsen. In these two switch stations the “together-divine providence-circuit” is activated - in effect the Pedolotsen can direct the huge collector fragment to attack the MARCO POLO from these two locations. The Terran Commando Team is detained by Florymonth, to whom, however, they can disclose the plan of the Pedolotsen plausibly. As a result, the Urmutter opposes the three Pedolotsen and separates the exactly originating collector-fragment again into its components.

The Terrans can kill the Pedolotsen one after the other and can come back on board the MARCO POLO afterwards.

483 - Im Zeichen des Ganjos
Under The Sign Of The Ganjo
H.G. Ewers

Avimol is a Ganjo Priest and pilgrim who, along with his three friends from Uarte, lands on the planet ARRIVANUM. The four Ganjo Priests from Uarte attract attention in the pilgrim-masses, and Avimol is soon contacted by Askosan who wants to recruit the intellectually working Biotarn Technician for the Perdaschisten (the resistance organization against the Pedolotsen). After a secret meeting, Avimol is completely convinced of the correctness of the goals of the Perdaschisten. However, he gets into serious trouble on the basis of a careless remark opposite other Ganjo Priests - he makes the remark that the Pedolotsen are swindlers. This Ganjo blasphemy is picked up by the masses badly, and soon, a manhunt by the Arriva-guards for the Uarter begins.

Meanwhile, four days after the renewed capture of Perry Rhodan/Ovaron and Atlan/Merceile, Guvalasch still didn't allow the swearing in of any successors for the five killed Pedolotsen. Instead, he lets the two prisoners brought to an identification installation in Pedoar where he confronts them with the false Ganjo, who the Pedolotsen freed from the Takerers by force. The identification proceeds positively, and a circuit is triggered that makes all the Ganjasen conscious of the arrival of the Ganjo on ARRIVANUM. Rhodan and Atlan succeed with fleeing in the energetic chaos that follows. Temporarily, Ovaron can take over the false Ganjo, and his companions (Rhodan and Atlan) can disable several of their persecutors before the false Ganjo can escape. In on area, Rhodan frees an Urutak (a type of semi-intelligent animal), that follows them as a result and helps them from several risky situations.

Finally, Rhodan and Atlan succeed in escaping from the Pedolotsen, Arriva-Guards and Ganjo-Priests of the Ovarasch (the obelisk shrine dedicated to Ovaron). Disguised as pilgrims, they reach the place where Guvalasch is, at that very moment, presenting the false Ganjo as real to a fanatical crowd and, at the same time, initiating a large-scale search for the Terrans. As Rhodan and Atlan are the only "pilgrims" who don't comply with the invitation to look for the treacherous Terrans, they are stopped and must flee. In the correct assessment, that the Pedolotsen will not take their own sanctuary under fire, they seek protection at the Ovarasch, that surprisingly opens for them.

However, the secret station within the Ovarasch turns out to be of only modest help: it offers meals and peace from the persecutors. At the subsequent outbreak from the besieged Ovarasch, the robotic station commander offers the help them through the use of a type of time-field-projectors, that slows down the timeframe of the besiegers for a few minutes by about the hundredfold. This way, Rhodan/Ovaron and Atlan/Merceile escape from the siege-circle around the Ovarasch.

Over the night, Avimol could camouflage himself as tree. However, he now looks for a possibility to escape from the planet. He suddenly notices that his environment moves much faster, and that two men hasten past him on the escape from the Arriva-Guards. He follows them since he suspects that it is about the Terrans, who deceived the Ganjo according to the description of the Sextolotsen. He almost succeeds with overpowering Rhodan and Atlan, however the found out fighter is placed besides skirmish and is informed about the actual circumstances of the two fleeing Terrans. He promises to help them by contacting the Perdaschisten.

Rhodan and Atlan are encircled by the Arriva-guards and can escape only with effort through a secret tunnel in an old temple-installation. The tunnel leads them into a Ganjasen home for the mentally impaired, who are regarded as incurable. They are mistaken by the service-robots for patients and are treated accordingly. As they escape from the careful robots, they are soon hunted again by Arriva-guards. The Perdaschisten spaceship ODIKON can save them at the last moment.

Avimol, who helped Rhodan/Ovaron and Atlan/Merceile to reach the ODIKON, stays behind on the planet and composes himself to be killed by the Arriva-Guards. However, instead of the Arriva-Guards arriving at his position where he is seriously injured, it is his companions from Uarte - Loboruth, Quinfaldim and Soncopet - who have joined the Perdaschisten cause and want to help him in the continuing struggle on ARRIVANUM.

484 - Das Ende der Odikon
The End Of The ODIKON
William Voltz

On board of the ODIKON, Fentorsch, that is the ship-conscience on this trip, reports that something is not right with the two passengers, Perry Rhodan and Atlan. Commander Recimoran questions the two guests, but does not find out anything on that occasion. As a result, the Pedotransferers Ovaron and Merceile are not discovered within Rhodan and Atlan. Ovaron plans to transfer back into the MARCO POLO even if the route between Morschaztas and Gruelfin amounts to many thousand light-years.

With the Pedotransfer, Ovaron's consciousness comes upon a barrier. He is caught and back-hurled, during which he carries away large quantities of hyper-energy. As a result of this excess energy, the temperature within the ODIKON rises into the unbearable to only then fall rapidly after an internal implosion. The ODIKON is torn from the semi-space with damaged installations and is disabled. Rhodan now reveals Ovaron's presence on board, while Recimoran explains that Morschaztas was embedded by the Ganjasen in the hyperspace.

Meanwhile, the Pedolotsen alarm the Ganjasen fleet and order the pursuit of the ODIKON. At the same time, they have the false Ganjo on Erysgan takes over the governmental power from the Ganjatoren. The up to now tolerated headquarters of the Perdaschisten in Cappinoscha is also attacked. The leader of the Perdaschisten, Remotlas, initiates an evacuation of the headquarters whose personnel are dispersed to numerous secret alternative bases.

Finally, the ODIKON reaches the planet Erysgan. Rhodan demands that a yawl is made available to him and Atlan so that they can land unseen on the planet while the ODIKON lands officially on a space-harbor. Shortly before the start, Rhodan and Atlan spot the Clooser Swamp-Henry, a wise intelligent pet of the Perdaschisten. Recimoran demands that they break off the start but Rhodan insists on the immediate launch of the yawl. After the yawl with Rhodan, Atlan and Swamp Henry departs, the ODIKON is destroyed as it is coming in for a landing. Rhodan and Atlan execute a crash landing on the planet near some mountains. They also help Swamp-Henry to escape from the yawl before they part with him.

They get going on the road to Cappinoscha, but are detained again and again: A girl, apparently the daughter of one of the Ganjatoren, gets in their way but can be convinced to leave the two alone. Then, Rhodan and Atlan must avoid a mobile Transmitter Wagon, that is traveling on the road to Cappinoscha. They decide to attack the car, during which Ovaron takes over the driver for a short period of time. Far however they don't come with the car, because search-gliders surrounds them a little later and attack the car. At the last moment, they successfully escape through the Transmitter.

The security forces of the Ganjasen are still not coordinated: The counter-station of the Transmitter is guarded only by an old, if powerful, Ganjasen, that can be overpowered easily. Rhodan and Atlan are chased by the security organizations of the capital city until they finally reach into an amusement center, one of the conjectural retreat places of the Perdaschisten. During the escape from a group soldiers within the amusement center a man speaks to Rhodan, who turns out by chance to be a Perdaschist and brings them directly to the headquarters of the Perdaschisten leader, Remotlas.

485 - Die Mutanten von Erysgan
The Mutants Of Erysgan
H.G. Ewers

Remotlas arranges that Perry Rhodan/Ovaron, with the help of an experience simulator, learns about the events that happened in the Morschaztas Galaxy during the absence of the Ganjo. Especially intense is Rhodan's experiences in the role of the fictitious Mutant Ervelan, who accompanies the admiral Farro to the Urmutter.

After he is awakened from the realistic simulated dream, Rhodan asks for the Farrogs, who still live in the low bunker installations in Morschaztas. Also on Erysgan exist Farrogs, who are commanded by Arhaeger, a Mutant notorious for his cruelty. Rhodan and Atlan decide that they want to free the Ganjatoren, which is impossible without the help of the Farrogs. Remotlas therefore contacts the Mutants of the underworld and gets permission to penetrate into the tunnel system of the Farrogs.

After a difficult trip through half of the capital city Cappinoscha, the companions reach the Pakolan Bunker where await not only the two contacts of the Farrogs, Poncruter and Lapender, but also two agents of the secret service, who want to prevent the Terrans from establishing contact with the Farrogs. However, they can be overpowered. Lapender and Poncruter, two misshapen Mutants, finally agree to bring Rhodan and Atlan to Arhaeger.

The way leads through innumerable trap-systems, as for example personal destructors, Hullahs, pulsating chambers with dissolving bridges and decompression chambers. Finally, they reach Arhaeger, who welcomes the arrivals rather adversely. He brings them to the temple of Farro where he tests, with the aid of the Tryzo Obelisk, whether Ovaron's spirit actually is in Perry Rhodan. His skeptical and hostile behavior changes into servility after Rhodan/Ovaron passes the test.

With an army of the Farrog-Mutants, the Terrans, in the company of Arhaeger, Remotlas, Poncruter and Lapender, storm to the surface and attack the prison, in which the Ganjatoren are held on to by the Pedolotsen. The Pedolotsen first enter the battle with elite-troops, and then with drone-like Akhjis. The command unit of the Akhjis can be successfully attacked and destroyed during which, however, Poncruter and Lapender are killed. This allows the retreat of the Farrgos together with the relieved Ganjatoren into the underground.

486 - Zwischen Weltraum und Untergrund
Between Space And Underground
William Voltz

Rhodan/Ovaron, Atlan/Merceile, Arhaeger and the Ganjatoren want to push forward by means of the tube-track more deeply into the underworld of Erysgan - in fact, all the way to Farrobana, the capital of the Farrogs. They also meet Swamp-Henry again, who was found by the Farrogs. Before the departure, however, Florymonth appears and blocks the track. Rhodan/Ovaron prevents that the Farrogs fire on the robot, and speaks with the green-skinned giant. Rhodan/Ovaron asks for access to the Passier-Konvulsator.

With support from the Ganjatoren, Florymonth can be persuaded to procure the access for them. Ovaron takes over the First Ganjator, Maischat, and steps thru Florymonth’s transmitter to the Arrivazone. Florymonth vanishes shortly afterwards. Perry Rhodan and Atlan remain behind, since they want to view the city of Farrobana.

The Ganjo reaches the Arrivazone without problems and, utilizing the Pedopeiler of the Gigantic Transmitter located there, pedotransfers back to his body on the MARCO POLO. Thus, his ÜBSEF-Constant reaches again on board the MARCO POLO. In the Terrosch Red Cloud, unrest has grown among the personnel of the MARCO POLO in the three weeks since Rhodan and Atlan left. Roi Danton even tolerates brawls as a distraction for the crew. Attacks on the pseudo-bodies (Tzlaafs) of the two Cappins are a concern as Ovaron appears again.

With effort, Ovaron and Florymonth can convince the crew of the situation in the Morschaztas Galaxy. The Collectors generate a protection field around the MARCO POLO and leads the MARCO POLO to the Transmitter in the center of the Terrosch Red Cloud, with which the Terran ship is transported into the Arrivazone. There, the Ganjasen fleet, which is now controlled by the Pedolotsen, waits at the structure-sluice between the Arrivazone and the rest of the Morschaztas Galaxy. The MARCO POLO is trapped in the Arrivazone, into which the Ganjasen fleet is prevented from entering by the Urmutter. Thus, a stalemate ensues between the two sides. However, a faked attempt at an outbreak from the Arrivazone can be used by the MARCO POLO as a diversion so that one of its auxiliary cruisers, the CMP-1, can successfully slip thru the Ganjasen Blockade fleet.

In Farrobana, the first reports about the forcible penetration of the Ganjo Priests into the underground of the planet are announced. Then Ovaron appears again in Rhodan’s consciousness and brings the message of the arrival of the CMP -1. Rhodan immediately arranges with the Farrogs to have a transmitter put to the disposal of himself and Atlan. The CMP-1 sends Alaska Saedelaere, Merkosh, Takvorian Ovaron, Merceile, Pucky, Icho Tolot, Ras Tschubai and the Paladin per transmitter to Farrobana. This Terran commando team immediately heads for the battlefront just below the surface of the planet.

Meanwhile, Tetman Tarino with his fleet and elite troops has intervened into the confrontation on the orders of Guvalasch and the false Ganjo. However, he still has misgivings about pursuing a war against the Farrogs. The Tetman is then taken over by Ovaron, who is in his proximity thanks to Pucky. The Terrans return to Farrobana with Tarino who is convinced of Ovaron’s and the Terran’s legitimacy. He gives the command to his troops to stop shooting.

487 - Ich, der Ganjo
I, The Ganjo
William Voltz

The Urmutter orders the Ganjasen of the Morschaztas Galaxy to discontinue all attacks against the Terran ships. Tetman Tarino offers the use of a greater space-ship to Perry Rhodan and Ovaron. With considerable problems, the three men succeed with it to venture to the surface of Erysgan, to handle the Ganjo Priests patrolling there and to enter the TARSON. Commander Jamconsch takes the Tetman's side and acts little impressed by the outlook of being fired upon by the ground forts of the Ganjo Priests upon takeoff.

Sextolotse Guvalasch gives the robot forts the fire-command. Also small-spaceships with fanatical Ganjo Priests oppose the TARSON as it takes off. On the other hand, the regular armed forces of Erysgan take no action and just wait. Guvalasch suffers a severe epileptic-like attack. However, the doctors medicate him and the attack subsides. The Sextolotse cannot nominate any new Tetman since the Ganjasen commanders would rather resign from their posts than take over Tarino's position. So, Guvalasch allows a "Technical Committee" to provide order again in Cappinoscha.

The TARSON arrives unchecked at the ARRIVANUM. The protection-umbrella about the planet Sikohat goes out in view of the arrival of the true Ganjo. Guvalasch orders the local Ganjo Priests to attack the Tetman's ship. The TARSON lands at a free place on the planet's surface while Rhodan and Ovaron with a yawl perform a separate landing. Admittedly, also this yawl by tractor-radiations is forced into the landing, however the from-passed fight-units of the TARSON - gliders, robots and soldiers - impede Rhodan's and Ovaron's arrest by the Ganjo priests.

The two companions succeed with struggling along as far as to the Ovarasch where they are finally discovered. Ovaron's presence is recognized by the Ovarasch, and the walls of the obelisk open for a very short period of time. Rhodan and Ovaron reach the security of its interior. In a completely dark room, they finally find an arm of Terton the Dark, that is let into the wall. Terton introduces himself as a negative projection of the Ganjo and identifies Ovaron for the Urmutter. A test, that the Urmutter developed on the command of Ovaron 200,000 years before, begins with it in order to prevent the abuse of power by either himself or an imposter. The labyrinth in the inside of the Ovarasch includes locked doors, hidden transmitters and suddenly appearing robots that attack them. Terton represents the final test which places himself against Ovaron in order to secure his existence. He fixes Ovaron and Rhodan in two tubes. After a long consultation, Rhodan persuades the Ganjo to Pedotransfer into Terton. As a result, Terton vanishes and Ovaron and Rhodan are freed.

Ovaron now is expected in the programming-headquarters of the Urmutter by Florymonth and is identified as the true Ganjo. The Urmutter grants him full access to its power-means. As his first official acts, Ovaron gets the Ganjator Maischat from the Arrivazone, allows the announcement of the return of the rightful Ganjo to be broadcasted throughout Morschaztas and orders the ouster of the false Ganjo and Guvalasch on Erysgan.

Guvalasch learns about Ovaron's success in the Ovarasch and his impending advance on Erysgan. Now, he decides that he as well as the five Pedolotsen accompanying him should position their Komudak-Devices (devices that can override the Urmutter's commands). The false Ganjo, Fenarol, decides to place himself against the Pedolotsen, and carries off a handgun in the government-building. Still before he arrives again in the vicinity of the Pedolotsen, the building is attacked by Perdaschisten, Farrogs and troops of the Tetman's as well as of the Ganjatoren. Both sides use the intercoms of the government buildings in order to alert everyone to their point of view. Fenarol publicly reveals himself as the false Ganjo, at which time Guvalasch orders his assassination. Despite being seriously wounded, Fenarol struggles through to the Transmitter room and kills the five Pedolotsen. Only Guvalasch successfully protects himself and, for his part, kills Fenarol. Afterwards the Sextolotse flees through the already switched on Transmitter.

Coming per Transmitter to Sikohat, Ovaron immediately goes to the main government building on Erysgan. The battle around the government quarter stands shortly before its end. There, he finds the dying Fenarol, who, however, cannot announce any more useful information.

After the end of the battle, Perry Rhodan and Ovaron take part in the ceremonies, that are organized for the return of the Ganjo.

488 - Plan der Vernichtung
Plan Of The Annihilation
Hans Kneifel

The traitor and former Sextolotse, Guvalasch, flees from the Terrosch Red Cloud on board of a Collector, which he stole with the help of his Komudak Belt (Command Belt). With increasing distance from the cloud, the command impulses of the Komudak device lose effect. The Collector opposes the passenger and Guvalasch has to escape in a Vassal until also this fails. The Sextolotse is eventually saved by a Takerer fleet of 500 ships which receive his radio calls for help and pick him up.

He can make the Takerer commander, Raekolond, believe that he has valuable information for the Taschkar, and he portrays to him the situation in Morschaztas. The Taschkar orders the old Pedolotsen into the Greytonor System in order to negotiate personally with him. After the negotiation, the Takerer robot brain in the VALOSAR confirms the statements of the Sextolotsen. The Taschkar orders 85,000 spaceships to the Red Cloud.

Guvalasch left the Komudak Belt with Raekolond while in the Greytonor System and now, upon his return to the Takerer Fleet, takes it into his possession again. He operates the circuits, that results in his gaining control over the 120,000 Collectors of the cloud. He lets them attack the Trafidim Stations that hold the small galaxy Morschaztas in a hyperspace blister. He hopes to destroy these stations so that the small galaxy falls back into the normal space.

In Morschaztas, Perry Rhodan and Ovaron learn from the Urmutter (Primordial Mother) about the events in Gruelfin. They don't know what the Collectors intend with their attacks, and Rhodan sends Joaquin Manuel Cascal, Ras Tschubai, Alaska Saedelaere, Geoffry Abel Waringer and the Ganjasen scientist Imaynschal on a reconnaissance mission into the red cloud.

The Urmutter and the Ganjo approve the excursion, and on board of the space station in the Terrosch Red Cloud the reconnaissance team obtains from the Urmutter a special ship, with which they observe the badly coordinated attacks of the Collectors. They also spot the Takerer fleet, that pursues the events in the red cloud from a safe distance. With the return to the Arrivazone, the Urmutter casually informs the expeditionary team about the side-effect of a cancellation of all Trafidim Stations. Cascal immediately places Ovaron and Rhodan in knowledge over it, and Ovaron prepares Morschaztas for the defense against an imminent Takerer attack.

489 - Gucky und der Verräter
Pucky And The Traitor
Clark Darlton

Pucky plans his next special mission. With some support from Ras Tschubai, he can convince Perry Rhodan and Ovaron that the two Teleporters, supported by Merkosh, Cershamon and Arhaeger, should be sent out in order to capture or kill the traitor Guvalasch. The team is already on board the station in the Arrivazone, that can transmit them to the Terrosch Red Cloud. However, just before they are about to depart for the Terrosch Red Cloud the Urmutter initiates an alarm: The Trafidim Stations in the Terrosch Red Cloud have almost all been destroyed, and the special use team should come back as fast as possible on board the MARCO POLO. However, it is already too late. Pucky and Ras Tschubai bring the companions to safety per Teleportation. After they teleport 4 light-years, they reach the MARCO POLO.

The Ganjasen spaceship TSCHAR, whose captain is named Remotlas, comes back with an illegal freight from a long flight through the small galaxy Morschaztas. Two light-years before Remotlas' base-world Eden the ship's linear-converter stops working and the ship’s android, Tibora, must install a substitute-converter. Moreover, some patrol-cruisers, that behave very unusually, suddenly appear and pursue the TSCHAR. As they suddenly shoot at the TSCHAR, one of the TSCHAR crew members, Remtaschatz, suspects pirates on board of the pursuing ships. Since Tibora could exchange the linear-engine, the TSCHAR is able to escape safely, and Remotlas lands on Eden. The adventurers belong to the first Cappins, that notice the return-fall of Morschaztas into the normal-space.

Morschaztas is no longer in the protection of the Sextadim-Shield, and Ovaron expects an attack of the Takerers. While he settles his domestic problems, Rhodan with the MARCO POLO wants to determine the position of the Takerer fleet. After a short search, the MARCO POLO promptly discovers the Taschkar's fleet, that by chance travels exactly with sub-speed of light in direction of Morschaztas. Pucky still insists on a special-use and lets Mentro Kosum fly his small team in a Space-Jet into the middle of the Takerer fleet. The MARCO POLO executes feints with its auxiliary vessels and Cruisers on the Takerer fleet. The 100,000 Takerer ships react so heavily to the threat that the Space-Jet advances unhindered into the heart of the fleet and the use-team can teleport onto the ship of the Taschkar without problems - this is aided by the fact that exactly there Pucky could detect and read Guvalasch’s thought impulses.

Fortunately, they materialize in a storeroom of the Taschkar’s flagship. Pucky explores the situation inconspicuously and finds out that Guvalasch with the Komudak-Belt (Command-Belt) wants to bring the Urmutter to the self-destruction. Pucky teleports with his companions into the room, where Guvalasch immediately attempts to attack them with his weapon. Pucky shoots and kills him. Then he takes the belt and brings the Mutants again into the storeroom. However, the Takerers quickly detect them and only with great effort can the companions hold their position. Pucky recognizes that the Taschkar has already fled his flagship per ship transmitter. Cershamon now cripples all energy-streams in the Takerer flagship, and Pucky attempts to contact either Mentro Kosum or the MARCO POLO.

Mentro Kosum and Arhaeger remained behind in the Space-Jet. Since the Takerers can now coordinate their actions more efficiently, Kosum flees into the linear space. Takerer units pursue the spaceship with the aid of their Halbraumspürer (Semi-Space Detector), and since, by chance, Mentro Kosum locates a dark world, he hides the Space-Jet there and turns off all treacherous energy installations. After three hours, Kosum returns to the fleet since he successfully shook off his Takerer pursuers. Meanwhile, however, the MARCO POLO has long since fled the sight of the battle in the direction of Morschaztas in view of the Takerers’ superior strength.

The Taschkar, who is no more in his hardly still working flagship, orders the annihilation of the four Mutants who have infiltrated his ship. Instead of just simply destroying the ship, he sends in a Takerer Robot battalion, that Merkosh yells to dust. The Takerers can restore the energy supply and can extinguish most of the fires on the ship. While Cershamon utilizes his energy-shutter gift in order to hold the protection-forcefield around the Takerer ship inoperable, Pucky, Merkosh and Ras Tschubai teleport on board of the Space-Jet that has just returned from the dark planet. Cershamon sacrifices himself so that the other three mutants can escape.

Back in Morschaztas Pucky gives the Komudak-Belt to Ovaron, and Ovaron gives a speech to the Ganjasen people. Meanwhile, Pucky makes self-reproaches for himself because he allowed Cershamon to sacrifice himself. His companions can cheer him up again, however.

490 - System der tausend Fallen
System Of The Thousand Traps
H.G. Ewers

Patulli Lokoshan and Lord Zwiebus explore the fleet movements of the Takerer and the Ganjasen with a Lightning-Jet shortly before their juncture in the empty space before Morschaztas. Perry Rhodan and Ovaron discuss the situation soon afterwards: Perry Rhodan plans an attack on Takera in the Greytonor-System. However, he wants to wait the results of the coming battle between the Takerer and the Ganjasen before Morschaztas. The Urmutter informs them about the possibility of a special commando action by means of Florymonth to weaken the Takerer in the Greytonor-System decisively without operating with a spaceship there. A Transmitter to Takera exists in the Bythalon System that is controlled by the Wesakenos. Rhodan grasps the decision to use this possibility.

After the battle before Morschaztas, that finishes in favor of the Ganjasen, the MARCO POLO goes to the Bythalon-System which is surrounded by an asteroid cloud. The contact with the Wesakenos is extremely difficult since they are very distrustful and have built countless traps. Many asteroids are camouflaged spaceships, collectors or lodge forts, orientation installations and bases. The CMP-22, an auxiliary vessel of the MARCO POLO, becomes disabled. However, subsequently, the first radio-contact with the Wesakenos is produced. The MARCO POLO is asked to fly into the asteroid cloud and to demonstrate its good will through it.

After a short discussion, Rhodan agrees to the demand but leaves almost all yawls outside the cloud. Two guides of the Wesakenos comes on board and verify the good intents of the Terrans. From curiosity Rhodan lets a small team examine a defective collector of the Wesakenos, that turns out to be the trap. Pucky, Ras Tschubai, Patulli Lokoshan and the Paladin escape without problems, however the Wesakenos on Mayntoho are provoked into responding. Also the innumerable para-real, thumb-big robot copies of the Earth God Lullog, that is caught in a spacetime rupture but can be freed by Geoffry Abel Waringer and Lokoshan after several experiments, don't contribute to the best communication atmosphere.

The communication with the Wesakenos succeeds despite all the adverse events, and the Wesakenos reveal the circumstances, under which the Transmitter to Takera was originally established. Rhodan informs Ovaron, who has arrived from Morschaztas in the meantime, and activates the Transmitter.

491 - Transmitter nach Takera
Transmitter To Takera
H.G. Ewers

Also with the second battle before Morschaztas, the Ganjasen remain victorious and beat the Takerer fleet.

Meanwhile, the Terrans on the MARCO POLO prepare "Operation Wasp Nest": by way of the transmitter on the Wesakeno Planet Mayntoho, they want to venture to the ancient Ganjasen spaceship ATTEC, which for 200,000 years has rested on the seafloor of Takera, the main world of the Takerers. There, Arkon bombs should be ignited.

Perry Rhodan and Roi Danton lead the operation while Atlan has instructions to lead the MARCO POLO back to the Milky Way in the case of a failure.

In the beginning, the Terrans hardly encounter any problems at the transaction of their operation: Perry Rhodan identifies himself as a representative of the Ganjo, whereupon the records of Colonel Lyphont, the long dead commander of the ancient Ganjesen vessel who virtually remained for 100 years on the ATTEC and had hoped for reinforcements, become accessible.

The Terrans penetrate into the undersea tunnels constructed by the Ganjasen of the ATTEC until they reach the seafloor. From there, they move in the direction of the mountain Motah, during which they also discover legacies of a much older civilization than the Takerer culture. Some records of this ancient civilization can be rescued. During the exploration of the seafloor, each of the seperate use groups are finally attacked by Marsav Agents. With different tricks, they succeed in distracting the Takerer at first, however the retreat to the ATTEC is very difficult because of the use of Anti-Psi-Fields. The Paladin and Roi Danton are captured by the Takerer and are taken into the VALOSAR. During the interrogation by the Marsav Agent Schymartko, Danton announces no usable information.

Rhodan and his companions stall the activation of the self-destruction of the ATTEC until the last moment, however the Paladin and Danton don't appear. Finally Rhodan gives the retreat signal and the atomic fire begins an hour later under the mountain Motah. Roi Danton, the Paladin and, unfortunately, the Taschkar escape from the inferno. The civilian population of the planet is evacuated.

492 - Das stählerne Gefängnis
The Steel Prison
Hans Kneifel

Vascalo the Crooked, the new Marsav Chief, activates the final-block-circuit at the risk of his life. This circuit gives the Taschkar the control over 146,000 Collectors. Vascalo can bring himself to safety by way of a Transmitter in the last second and starts on the way to the main world of the Takerer with one of the last spaceships from Takera. Soon afterwards Takera is destroyed by the atomic fire, that had been initiated by "Operation Wasp Nest".

Arriving on the planet Arptof, Vascalo meets with the Taschkar and tells him about his success. As a result, the Taschkar realizes that the Collectors, which Guvalasch, recently killed by Pucky, could command with the Komudak-Belt, now are under his exclusive control.

Instead of executing a combined attack of the Collectors and the Takerer fleet on the Ganjasen armed forces, the Taschkar decides to send the Collectors into the Milky Way under the command of Vascalo in order to execute a damning blow against the Terrans before they can come to the help of the Ganjasen. As was established in the meantime, the Terrans are immune against the Pedo-takeover thanks to the development of the Dakkarschleifen (Dakkar-Grinders?). Therefore, the Collector fleet should pick up the Pedotransferers stationed in the Milky Way and then attack the Sol System.

The Taschkar then presents Vascalo with his two prisoners, Roi Danton and the Paladin, who are implied in a Marsav Safe (a transparent steel block which completely encases them). He hands over the two to Vascalo since he believes that they cannot deliver any valuable information to him regarding the Ganjasen - for Vascalo however they possess information about his objective in the Milky Way which would be very helpful.

Within the Pakadin, the Thunderbolts discuss the possibilities of breaking out from the prison. Finally, they decide to clear a way with their Desintegrators to Danton in order to be able to communicate with him. Dart Hulos, who has displeased Harl Dephin with a Destillery setup in his weapons armory, is selected as a "volunteer" for the breakthrough mission. After the breakthrough succeeded, Danton and the Siganesen finally can communicate with each other.

The Collector fleet comes out close to the Vega System meanwhile and must get the bearings. The Terran GEK Missionary Matton Exloster, who has just escaped an unpleasant encounter with the Vegan authorities, becomes the first victim of the Takerer invasion in his spaceship.

Vascalo goes to his prisoners and questions Roi Danton over the identity of the system in which the fleet has materialized. Furthermore, his Collectors pick up the Takerers stationed in the Milky Way, who shift on board of the fleet. After Danton informs him that the Vega System is 27 light-years from the Sol System, Vascalo must prepare for battle because the Terran fleet gathers to an attack. Danton now informs Dephin that the Collectors are near the Vega System, and gives the command for the outbreak from the safe. The Siganesens now burn out six separated tunnels to the surface of the safe.

Two Takerer are sent to the Marsav Safe by the fleet commander Pultor in order to keep an eye on the prisoners. They discover the efforts of the Siganesen to free Roi Danton which presents as small holes in the surface of the safe. One of the two Takerers is shot by the Thunderbolts, the other escapes panic-stricken from the room. Pultor and Vascalo admittedly hear his screams but must concentrate on the fight with the Terran ships.

For a few hours the Siganesen utilize their desintigrators on the area of the safe around Roi Danton, who is slightly hurt several times on that occasion. Finally Danton can wriggle from the rest of the steel prison and can arm himself with the weapon of the dead Takerer. The Paladin must be left behind. Unopposed, the escapees reach a hangar, that is full of Cappins.

Danton succeeds with it, to sneak by the 500 Takerers without becoming noticed. He operates the controls of a mini-spaceship and shoots a hole in the hangar-wall. The captured Takerer ship escapes through this hole and afterwards Danton radios the attacking Terrans, to inform them about his identity before they mistakenly shoot him and his small spaceship. The 50,000 Terran ships are under the command of Reginald Bell and they are up against 60,000 Collectors. With a literary trick, Danton is able to convince Bell of his identity. Danton and the Thunderbolt team are successfully rescued by the Terran fleet.

493 - Panik auf Titan
Panic On Titan
Hans Kneifel

Reginald Bell leads the Solar Fleet in a defensive battle against the Collectors and Vassals, of which over 10,000 are destroyed in the battle for the Vega system. The number of robotic attackers is continuously decimated, while the losses of Terran lives are very small. However, the material damage is enormous.

Colonel Edmond Pontonac , the commander of the Saturn moon, Titan, inspects the station of the Ganjo Ovaron. Pontonac has been authorized to control this very important station. The Robot Commander of the station points out that it has noticed the arrival of the collector fleet, intercepted and deciphered the military radio traffic and produced a Dakkarcom connection to Gruelfin.

Soon afterwards Ovaron is notified and informed on the situation in the Milky Way. Immediately Ovaron goes together with Merceile to the Sol System in order to stop Vascalo, the commander of the fleet of collectors. As it suddenly turns out, Roi Danton and the Thunderbolt team somehow managed during their captivity to record Vascalo’s individual data and take it from aboard the collector - now Ovaron will use this data to aim remotely over twelve light years in an attempt to take over Vascalo’s mind.

However, Ovaron’s Pedotransfer into Vascalo’s mind does not succeed because Vascalo is an “Instinctive Pedoautocrat“ . He is able divide his consciousness. With 30% of his consciousness he controls Ovaron’s consciousness in his own body, while with 70% of his consciousness he takes over the body of Ovaron simultaneously. Both of Vascalo’s consciousness halves now operate more or less independently while Ovaron is trapped in Vascalo’s body. Vascalo/Ovaron pretends that the takeover attempt has failed, and wants to rest. Only Colonel Pontonac notices a change in Ovaron’s behavior, invites him into his headquarters and wants to hold him there until he realizes why Ovaron’s behavior is suddenly so dishonest. During the course of the evening Pontonac not only realizes that Vascalo is at work here, but also the change in behavior is noticed by Merceile.

Vascalo/Ovaron flees with the KHS 6382 and aims to bring together the two bodies under his control in the collector fleet. But Pontonac can still get on the ship and sabotages the timetable. The spaceship is stranded in the Alcanaya II system where Pontonac destroys the linear thrusters. After a tough and grueling chase on Canetti A. Beta, Vascalo must give up. By way of Pontonac’s body - Pontonac had offered Vascalo this way out and removed his Dakkar-Shield – Vascalo transfers completely back into his own body. Thus, Ovaron’s consciousness is released and returns to his own body on Canetti A. Beta.

Ovaron and Pontonac are picked up by the TAJIKISTAN and brought back to the Sol System.

494 - Der Mond der Gefahren
Moon Of Dangers
Clark Darlton

While Merceile stays on Titan as a Dakkar operator, Ovaron returns to Gruelfin on 11 June 3438. He announces to Perry Rhodan the victory over the Collectors of Vascalo. He also returns with new knowledge which he gained from Vascalo while imprisoned in his body. This knowledge includes the name “Moryr Morma”. The Urmutter (Primordial Mother) receives the code: "Moryr Moryma", which means: "Life and Destroyed Life!" in old gruelfin. It also designates the location of the gigantic pedopeiler of the Takerers in the galaxy NGC 4594 (Gruelfin). This is the pedopeiler which the Takerers are utilizing to send their agents into the Milky Way galaxy. The Urmutter then goes on to tell what happened in this very unique system two hundred seven thousand three hundred years ago.

The young Cappin Schoscholk becomes a member of a secret organization of smugglers after his father's death. With the REALFIN he discovers on the south side of Gruelfin a system whose two suns are bound by a column of energy. This powerful energy field forces Schoscholk to land on Moryma, the moon of the gigantic planet Moryr in orbit around the bridge of energy. The Cappin discovers that the moon possesses a system of caves. He is saved shortly after by a patrol boat.

Some millennia later the Takerers learned how to master by force the field of the energy bridge. They install in the caves of the moon the most efficient pedopeiler of all time.

On June 14 the light cruisers of the MARCO POLO attack the gigantic planet, that now carries the name of Mohrc, and destroy it. Simultaneously Pucky teleports to the moon Moryma with Icho Tolot and the scholarly Wesakeno, Elteruen, who must study the pedopeiler, run by the Takerers inside of the moon. As a result of the destruction of the giant planet Moryr, the moon Moryma begins its inexorable fall toward the sun. After the destruction of the energy station providing power to the hexadim shield around the moon, Pucky is able to teleport back on board the MARCO POLO with his companions.

495 - Der Botschafter von Sol
The Ambassador Of Sol
Hans Kneifel

On 15 June 3438 eighty thousand Collectors appear close to the galactic center and destroy an Akonide spy vessel. They are reinforcements for Vascalo’s fleet but they have miscalculated their jump into the Milky Way and have a long trip ahead of themselves in order to get from the center of the galaxy to the vicinity of the Sol and Vega Systems.

The Solar Marshal, Galbraith Deighton, sends Edmond Pontonac with the battle-cruiser DARA GILGAMA to convince the other human stellar empires of the Milky Way galaxy to help the Solar Imperium (Empire) in its fight against Vascalo’s Collectors. The ship carries on board a Takerer pedo-transferer trapped in the body of a saber tooth tiger to be used as proof of the Cappin danger. After a failed pedo-transfer attempt on a minister, Pontonac secures the promise of military aid from the Norman Federation. During the flight to Rudyn, the capital of the Central Galactic Union, the Takerer pedo-transferer on board of the DARA GILGAMA frees himself but he is soon recaptured. Although at first jailed, Pontonac and his companions also ultimately succeed in bringing the leaders of the Galactic Central Union to the side of the Earth after having announced that one of their representatives has been possessed by a Cappin. After having obtained the support of the third and final human power bloc, the Carsual Alliance, the DARA GILGAMA is confronted during its return flight to Earth by vessels of the Shomona Order. Pontonac and some of his men are interned as hostages on Caudor II in the Syordon System.

During the fight against the Collectors, superior intelligent humans go on board of Terran vessels for the first time. They call themselves Homo Superior and they are convinced pacifists.

496 - Die Flotte der Clans
The Fleet Of The Clans
William Voltz

On 2 July 3438 the MARCO POLO tries to return to the Milky Way but fails because of a breakdown.

The Taschkar Ginkorasch calls the fleet of the forty-five Young Clans for help. The life of these descendants of Takerer colonists on the outskirts of Gruelfin has been accelerated following a genetic mutation. Known as the Juclas, they reach maturity at ten years of age and become elderly at eighteen years of age. At twenty years of age the Juclas are delivered by the Old Age Police to the adult executioners who have the job of killing them. In their hate of the death, the nomadic Juclas try to give more sense to their short life. As a result, they have become brutal warriors. Following the Taschkar’s order, they attack the small Morschatzas galaxy with their two hundred thousand vessels. On July 6 they fall upon one hundred thousand Ganjasen vessels. The Ganjasen fleet retires on Ovaron’s order after the first battle, which ends in a draw.

Perry Rhodan makes contact with Pentschypon-Kala 896, the chief of the Young Clans, and announces to him that contrary to the affirmation of Ginkorasch the Ganjasens don't want to wipe out the Juclas. Pentschypon-Kala 896 becomes distrustful of the Takerers and eventually realizes that the adult executioners on all the Clan ships are Takerers and that over many millennia the Taschkars created the Juclas by genetic manipulations to protect the borders of their galaxy. Pentschypon-Kala 896 lands on the planet Arptof with his fleet, kills Ginkorasch (by poison) and declares that the Young Clans will assume the ultimate power in the Takerer Empire.

497 - Die Armee der Kriegsdiener
The Army Of The War Servants
H.G. Ewers

The detectors of the Takerer Collector fleet locate the Ganjasen pedostation on Titan. On 10 July 3438 one hundred thirty thousand Takerer warriors materialize in the station. They are led by Vascalo and fight the Terran commandos who respond to the attack in the Ganjasen station. Vascalo has lied to his warriors, telling them that they are following the great strategic plan of the Tashkar. In fact, there is no “Great Plan of the Tashkar” and the attack on the Titan station has actually been planned by Vascalo himself to help advance his own personal power and prestige. Heavy battles take place, in which Ribald Corello, his bodyguard Lesska Lokoshan and Balton Wyt participate. Merceile takes control of the Terran captain Tolous Bettron in order to destroy the pedostation on Titan with bombs. She succeeds but she leaves the dying body of Tolous Bettron too late and suffers serious mental injuries. She must be brought to the medical center of the USO on the planet Tahun for treatment.

After the destruction of the pedostation and, therefore, the ability to receive Takerer reenforcements, Vascalo is ready to sacrifice his warriors in futile battles all over the surface of the moon Titan. He believes these battles and the chaos they will cause will serve as cover for his own escape. Great destruction does occur to include the loss of the artificially generated oxygen atmosphere of Titan. The second-class warrior Aronte, the pilot of Vascalo’s flight capsule, develops some doubts on his superior’s infallibility and on the “Great Plan” itself. Finally, he defects and saves the Terran captain Alea Onandere, who is in command of an orientation station and a commando squad tasked with tracking down the individual Takerer warriors who have survived and escaped from the major battles on Titan. Aronte voluntarily becomes a prisoner of the Terrans.

Lesska Lokoshan prevents an attack of Vascalo on Corello. The Takerer flees by pedo-transfer into the body of Pultor, the commander of the flagship of the Collectors, which has been slowly fighting its way to the borders of the Sol System. The battle fleets of the Akonides, the Norman Federation and other stellar powers of the Milky Way arrive in order to fight at the side of the Terrans against the Takerer Collector Fleet.

498 - Die Rückkehr des Takerers
The Return Of The Takerer
Clark Darlton

While in the body of Pultor, Vascalo learns of the death of Ginkorasch and the assumption of power by the Jucla, Pentschypon-Kala 896, in the Gruelfin Galaxy. He names Pultor the commander of the entire fleet of Collectors and returns to his own body on Titan. He now believes himself to be the new Taschkar but he also knows he must get his own body back to the Collector fleet if he is to actually turn this belief into reality. The decreasing reserves of oxygen in his space suit forces Vascalo into a race against the clock. Some scholarly Terrans on Titan temporarily protect him until he finally finds the opportunity to seize the protoplasm commander of the Posbi vessel Box-86104. Vascalo forces the Posbi commander to bring his pseudo-body on board. He then has the Box-86104 take off and he eventually reaches the safety of his own fleet of Collectors, which is then attacked by the Terran vessels and their allies. Vascalo has successfully returned to his flagship and the final battle for the Sol System itself can begin.

499 - Entscheidung in der Plutobahn
Decison In The Pluto Track (Orbit)
Hans Kneifel

Shortly after the destruction of the dakkar radio link with the secret station on Titan, the Urmutter (Primordial Mother) whose cells constitute the Ovarasch orders that the planet Sikohat be evacuated. Her programming forces her to separate and launch the thousands of Collectors which make up the entire interior of the planet. The thin envelope of Sikohat breaks up and the planet ceases to exist. The three hundred forty thousand Collectors that had made up the planet Sikohat leave for the Milky Way.

On the 24th of July they reach the orbit of Pluto where the battle fleets of the Earth and its allies defend themselves against the Collectors and Vassals commanded by Vascalo. The fleets of the Akonides and the Central Galactic Union flee. The Urmutter (Primordial Mother) reveals some information on the events in the Gruelfin. She declares that her programming forces her to intervene, since parts of her are being utilized by Vascalo for criminal acts. She withdraws the Collectors from the control of the Takerers. She allows a hundred Terrans commanded by Lefton Rapyrosa to penetrate into the Ovarasch. They learn about the origin of the Primordial Mother, the Collectors and the Komudak Belts (Command Belts) as well as the final block device that a Taschkar, who had discovered the gigantic robot fifty thousand years ago, used as a secret weapon.

The hundred Terrans flee at the last minute when some of the Collectors form a sphere of forty-nine kilometers in diameter with the Primordial Mother in the center. More and more of the Collectors move into position around the Primordial Mother. Pluto breaks apart due to the gravitational field which the mass of the huge Collector sphere produces. On the 27th July the Primordial Mother declares that she has became a too powerful and too dangerous tool. Following the programming installed by Ovaron she auto-destructs. Vascalo and his Takerers, who are trapped in the Collectors, die in a gigantic ball of fire.

On the same day Edmond Pontonac and the other hostages on Caudor II steal a spacecraft and escape.

In Gruelfin battles continue to rage between the Jucla Clans and many other races. On the 27th July Perry Rhodan and the members of the Terran expedition say farewell to Ovaron. The MARCO POLO leaves for the Milky Way.
