2100 - Das Sternenfenster
The Star Window
Robert Feldhoff

In the years following the end of the SOURCE Of SOULS, the situation in the Milky Way seems calm. But Bostich I continues his quest to make his Crystal Imperium the premier power of the Galaxy. However, he gives up open confrontations with the L.F.T.(League of Free Terrans). Only the stellar archipelago of Hayok, still occupied by the Arkonides, remains a point of political contention. The young and beautiful Arkonide noble Ascari da Vivo is in charge this sector. Perry Rhodan makes her acquaintance in 1306 NGZ, during a reception for the emperor, where she is promoted to the rank of "Three Sun Bearer". From the time of this fateful meeting, Ascari will constitute a political and military adversary for Perry Rhodan.

At the end of December 1306, five cruisers of the SOL reach the Earth and deliver a message from Mondra Diamond to Rhodan.

In 1307, an unknown type of spaceship is observed by the Leif Eriksson as it appears in the stellar archipelago of Hayok. It only measures a hundred ten meters long and sixty-six meters wide, but possesses incredible acceleration. By reason of its shape, it is named the Katamar. Rhodan follows the vessel. An Arkonide fleet under the command of Ascari da Vivo also makes its appearance. It opens fire but by an effect of reflection, the transformer cannon bombs come back on the Arkonide ships and destroys them. Before reinforcements arrive, the Katamar disappears.

On January 22, 1309, Imperator Bostich I invites Rhodan again to festivities: Ascari da Vivo becomes Mascant, a position in the Arkonide military hierarchy where she is not indebted before her "Begam" (the Imperator). Her and Kraschyn, the ancient conqueror of the Earth and Étrus, are the only two Arkonides ever to reach this rank. She tries to seduce Rhodan but he only sees the face of Mondra Diamond.

In October 1311, four gigantic disks nineteen kilometers in diameter appear in the galaxy. Their technology is similar to that of the Katamar previously observed. Ascari da Vivo attacks them and, again, her own vessels are destroyed by the reflective screens of the strangers. An incredible phenomenon produces itself then: the four vessels maneuver themselves into position and disappear with a strong shaking of the space-time structure, leaving in their place a window which opens a way to another galaxy. This galaxy is identified as the galaxy HCG 87, located around four hundred million light years from the Earth. The consignment of probes proves that this window is impassable.

On October 24, another Katamar appears, crossing this window, and heads for the Earth. Rhodan immediately directs the Leif Eriksson toward it and declares a state of alert. A small ship comes out of the vessel, three thousand five hundred forty meters in length and sends out a message: Trah Rogue, the Conqueror of Tradom, comes on a diplomatic mission and asks for permission to land.

Rhodan accepts. Ascari da Vivo, who followed the Katamar with her fleet, also takes part in the reception. On October 27, 1311, Trah Rogue lands on the spaceport of Terrania, plants a flag in the soil and declares that he is taking possession of the Earth, the Solar System and the League of Free Terrans in the name of the Empire of Tradom.

2101 - Der Konquestor
The Conqueror
Andreas Findig

With some prominent words, Trah Rogue declares that the Earth and the worlds of the LFT are now a protectorate of the Tradom Empire. Perry Rhodan initially hopes that it is all a misunderstanding but the Conqueror leaves no doubt. Nevertheless, the Terran Resident invites him into the Solar Residence. The extragalactic look-alike of a gigantic chimp explains that the Tradom Empire is in a Thoregon Galaxy. He presents a holo-show showing how the Milky Way must be absorbed by the empire. Another movie is projected, showing what would happen in case of refusal. This time, the galactic fleets of the Milky Way would be annihilated by Katamars of war. Rhodan gets especially worried over the fact that these movies are very precise - the Tradom Empire already knows much about the Milky Way.

The Terran League Service discovers that minuscule nanorobots have spread themselves throughout the Solar System from the landing place of Trah Rogue’s small katamar "yacht", which is named the Marzom. It is very likely that they are activated by an impulse. Since they work on a syntronics basis, there exists a means of getting rid of them: the KorraVir virus, but the risks of the remedy appear more dangerous than the nanorobots themselves. In any case, the special services are forced to use it.

Finally, Perry Rhodan announces to Trah Rogue that the LFT rejects the offer of the Tradom Empire and shows him in his turn a movie where Terran fleets of war destroy the Katamars. In the end, the Conqueror's body is shaved.

Vexed, Trah Rogue returns to his yacht that moves away in panic. He is pursued by several warships of the LFT but can not pass into hyperspace because of the Aagenfelt Barrier (Field). He is tracked by the Terrans but when he opens fire, several Terran ships are destroyed. The intervention of Ascari da Vivo's fleet finally permits the destruction of the giant Katamar, but a small boat, the Marzom (along with Trah Rogue), survives and flees. The victory is a bitter one. To destroy a Katamar, thousands of ships have been annihilated and about one hundred thousand men and women have died.

In the Hayok Archipelago, Reginald Bell, aboard the Roald Amundsen, arrives and finally succeeds in sending a probe to the other side of the star window. Upon the probe’s return, he witnesses the gathering of a gigantic fleet of Tradom warships on the probe’s recordings.

2102 - Die Hand der Vorsehung
The Hand of Providence
Leo Lukas

In the star cluster Virginox, situated near the Tradom Galaxy, the Jankarons, an avian-like people, have just recently launched themselves on the conquest of space. They navigate through space by using hypertransitions. They know about the existence of their powerful neighbors in the Tradom Galaxy but they, in turn, don't seem for the moment to be interested in the Jankarons. Although the Jankarons only have about thirty cruisers and want to keep the location of their world a secret, they have already made a name for themselves as clever tradesmen. For Roxo Quatron and the crew of the Jankaron vessel, Keltammer, the universe is full of marvels and dangers. They escape an attack by pirates, with precision and guile, and then become interested in the technological information of the Shuftars, the most powerful race of Virginox.

In the company of his faithful friends, the pilot Itchi Cultega, the master-gunner Kiv Aaterstam and the brilliant scientist Vett Burmer, Roxo begins a risky operation to contact an influential merchant prince. He finds an appropriate middleman in the person of Hornblatt, prince of Masch'anzga. However, Hornblatt attempts to trap Roxo, wanting to obtain the coordinates of the Jankaron home system. Luckily, Roxo is also a clever strategist. He had suspected a trap. He succeeds in unmasking the deception game of the prince and is able to search the seized documents for Shuftar information.

Thanks to the stolen Shuftar technical documents, the Jankarons can improve the technology and the armament of their cruisers. Of course, the first vessel to benefit from this is the Keltammer. Roxo Quatron departs on a test flight.

However, at the moment of entry into hyperespace, the Keltamer is swallowed by a gigantic cubic object. To the surprise of the Jankarons, it is a huge spacecraft belonging to the Eltans, "the Ancients". This older pacifist race is opposed to the increasing power of the Tradom Empire. However, even though they oppose it, whenever possible, using indirect resistance, they could not prevent the Tradom Empire from opening a star window to enslave a faraway galaxy - the Milky Way. To help its inhabitants, the Eltans have need of collaborators who they find in Roxo, Itchi, Kiv and Vett.

After a brief reflection, the four Jankarons accept the offer to cross the window and make contact on the other side with the inhabitants of the Milky Way. The Eltans put at their disposal a powerful spacecraft, the CoJito Hunter.

In spite of all the CoJito Hunter’s technology, Quatron and his friends can not pass through the star window easily. It is necessary to accomplish the maneuver under five percent the speed of light and, in addition, a gigantic fleet of Katamars is gathered before the star window. Although the Cojito possesses a weapon that can pierce the reflective screens of the Katamars, a direct breakthrough is out of the question. However, through the use of a ruse, Roxo is successful in approaching the window and crossing it. Seven hostile vessels follow it, but they are forced to take flight thanks to the combined power of the Terran and Arkonide Fleets on the other side.

Shortly afterwards, Roxo meets Perry Rhodan who, with the Leif Eriksson, has held position to blockade "his" side of the window.

The Fight of the Conqueror
Horst Hoffmann

Trah Rogue escaped at the last moment in his yacht, the Marzom, from the hell triggered by the Terrans and the Arkonides. However, his vessel is now no more than useless wreck and winds up crashing in a swampy region of the planet Pinblot.

Pinblot is a primitive planet on which is located an illegal base of the "Galactic Guardians" who exploit the natives. The Conqueror must clear a lonely path through the jungle for himself. By his own means, he finally ends up reaching the base. There, he murders all the base personnel and sends a message by hypercom. The seven Katamars that had followed the CoJito Hunter through the Star Window receive the call and successfully rescue him.

Rhodan, who also receives the message, arrives much too late to intercept them.

2104 - Durch das Sternenfenster
Through The Star Window
Uwe Anton

Facing imminent invasion by the Tradom Empire, Perry Rhodan decides to cross the star window in order to ask for the help from the Eltans, those beings about whom the Jankarons spoke. The main difficulty consists of approaching the window at a very slow speed while a powerful fleet is still gathered behind it. In order to facilitate the approach of the Leif Eriksson and the Karribo - the vessel of Ascari da Vivo that must also participate in the operation - each ship embarks Antis who must reinforce their protective screens. A fleet of wrecked spacecraft must accompany them in order to sow confusion among the Katamars.

Zim November, at the age of eighteen, is in training at the academy of Emotional Piloting in Terrania. He is presently serving a training rotation aboard the Leif Eriksson. The Étruser Rock Mozun, the emotional pilot in title and Zim’s guardian, refuses to allow Zim to participle in the flight through the star window. The young man appeals to the commander of the ship, Pearl TenWafer, and persuades her of his utility as the second pilot.

The plan succeeds and the two cruisers clear, in one stroke, three hundred eighty eight million lightyears. As a result of the shock from passing through the star window, Rock Mozun collapses and it is Zim November who must assume the helm of the Leif Eriksson thereby enabling it to escape the fleet of Tradom. The two ships slip away at all speed towards the coordinates furnished by Roxo Quatron where the gigantic vessel of the Eltans must be located.

But, arriving at the rendezvous point, they only find spaceship wreckage. As no return is possible without the help of the Eltans, the situation becomes critical. Perry Rhodan decides to travel to the home planet of the Jankarons.

2105 - Zuflucht auf Jankar
Refuge On Jankar
Arndt Ellmer

Perry Rhodan has succeeded in passing through the star window with the Leif Eriksson but at the rendezvous point with the Eltans, he only found a cloud of particles. The cruiser as well as the Karribo must make emergency repairs, and Roxo Quatron proposes that they travel to the Jankaron System although the coordinates of this system are kept secret.

In exchange for their collaboration, Rhodan proposes to provide Jankar with technological aid. Not all Jankarons are enthusiastic by the arrival of the strangers but only the Lord-Merchant Kattisch Melchya opposes them vehemently. While waiting, Rhodan proposes to Roxo Quatron to study in detail the CoJito Hunter of the Eltans. The Jankaron agrees after some hesitation. In the meantime, with Pucky’s help, Roxo tries to discover why the Lord-Merchant Kattisch Melchya is opposed to the Terrans so much.

Until the Jankaron Mediator makes her decision, Rhodan travels with the Leif Eriksson to the rendezvous point fixed by the Eltans. He hopes to recover lifeboats but this hope doesn't materialize. By ejecting numerous torpedos he manages to send a message in morse code to Reginald Bell, on the other side of the star window.

During the absence of Rhodan, the Lord-Merchant Kattisch Melchya is the victim of an intrigue. His helper Vellki Otis is in league with the Red Chy pirates who want to seize the homeland of the Jankarons. She puts Melchya under hypnotic control in order to neutralize Jankar’s space defenses. Pucky and Roxo discover the machiavellian plan but cruisers of the pirates have already materialized in the Jankaron System. Ascari da Vivo has a flotilla of corvettes against which the pirates are defenseless. The Red Chy pirates are successfully expelled from the Jankar System. When Rhodan returns with the Leif Eriksson, all is finished. The Terran is not okay with the behavior of the Mascant but, all the same, the Arkonide arrived in time to protect the world of the Jankarons. After these events, the Mediator and the Council are ready to help the Terrans and Arkonides.

2106 - Der weiße Tod
The White Death
Horst Hoffmann

For years, Zineda's insectoid race has been exploited and constrained by the technically superior E'Valenter and constrained to work like slaves in their mines. The population decreases from day to day. When Captain Imm Zuliffer proposes to attack their oppressors, the scholarly Liktus Boi grants his support. The small troop tries to defeat the guards of the mine but they are not able to do anything in the face of the enemy's radiant weapons. Only the scholar escapes from the debacle and is sent back to the queen with a message - new workers must immediately be sent to the mine. The queen, Scharanay, touched by the general's death, doesn't want to comply.

In his despair, Boi remembers a stranger's visit to his world. He had come from the Ruined (Dead) Empire. He left him a frock and a hypercom before dying. The scholar uses this last device to send a distress call.

While searching for the Eltans, the cruiser JEFE CLAUDRIN commanded by Harun al Kharud receives the message and heads toward the system of the Zinedas. Benjameen da Jacinta and Tess Qumishas descend to its surface with a Gazelle and make contact with Liktus Boi. They penetrate into the mine in order to familiarize themselves with the situation and discover that the E'Valenter are the same beings as those who escorted Trah Rogue at the time of his arrival on Earth. They also see that the slaves endure a deadly infection. The two Galactics learn also that a transport vessel must leave soon.

The next day, Queen Scharanay launches an attack which is wiped out. However, eventually, helped by the Galactics, the Zinedas kill all E'Valenters. The Terrans then try to find an antidote to the infection but they can only produce a serum immunizing the healthy insectoids. To efface all trace of the fight, Tess has the mine destroyed. In the company of two Etrusians, Tess and Benjameen infiltrate into the transport vessel that leaves for an unknown goal.

H.G. Francis

Benjameen da Jacinta, Tess Qumisha, Filk Zimber and Kayzer Han (the two Etrusians) arrive at and manage to get aboard a gigantic loaded vessel that manufactures ore harvested from the world of the Zinedas. Instead of being able to observe the vessel in secret, the small team is confronted by a set of traps and a security system. Benjameen can not procure for herself the information while in dream-zero. Obviously, these manufacture vessels belong to Tradom and exploit raw materials robbed from other planets whose inhabitants are reduced to slavery.

However, events take place aboard the vessel of which the Galactics have no idea: Pamas Kaquant, a Di'Valenter and second in command, believes that natives of a planet have managed to get aboard. His superior, Zo Rakmynt, finds this idea ridiculous. Pamas decides to launch a search for the intruders himself, helped by a symbiote. He is attacked in a catwalk and, when he wakes up, he discovers that his symbiote has disappeared. The Di'Valenter believes that his commander attacked him because he discovered that this one keeps for himself a part of the material recovered from the pillaged planets. Without his symbiote, Pamas does not have a long time to live due to a viral infection.

The Di'Valenter decides to inform the other officers about the illegal actions of the commander. He leads them in a revolt but they are all killed. Pamas soon meets an arachnoid creature which is itself linked to his symbiote. This arachnoid creature wants to take vengeance on the pillagers (the Di'Valenters).

The two Etrusians, Zimber and Han, manage to reach the central station but, when they are discovered, they must quickly rejoin Benjameen and Tess. They leave the ship just in time before a bomb armed by Pamas explodes.

The SOL is on the road to the Watertime galaxy in order to return the visit of the Pangalactic Statisticians and to learn some more about Thoregon. It needs six to seven years to cover the six hundred eighty million light years from the Dommrath Land. But the persons responsible for the SOL have other problems to deal with, such as the necrophore which is still hidden aboard or the host of Mom'Serimern in Cell-2 of the SOL.

Whereas the ancient Mom'Serimern always look backward in time to the loss of their homeland, the new generation is passionately fond of the SOL and consider the vessel their new home. Thus, Shoy Carampo and Basch Fatingards wander around in the central part of the ship, a heap of debris never cleaned up since the stellar ark was taken by Shabazza.

One day, Shoy and Basch end up discovering the long searched for necrophore. The container is projected into space, but it seems in fact that it didn't contain anything.

Diary Of The SOL
Susan Schwartz

This episode covers many years (1304 NGZ-1311 NGZ)

While dying, Crom Harkanvolter, the Lord-Eunuch of the Mom'Serimern, understands that his people needs a new objective and that it is unhealthy to entrench themselves in the past. He shows his agreement with Shoy Carampo's plans that want to integrate the Mom'Serimern with the crew of the SOL. However, after Crom's death, it is the traditionalist, Stap Crumero, who takes his place. Shoy and his friends create a real city, Shard (Debris) City. Increasingly Mom'Serimern go and settle in the new city despite Crumero's attempts to oppose it. However, the race of the Mom'Serimern is basically peaceful and the conflict remains verbal.

The SOL makes a long pause in the Notrast galaxy to install other permanent hypersensors. It answers a distress call from the people of Winten whose sun threatens to explode. During a one and a half year period of time, the crew of the SOL evacuates Winten's population to another planet.

Fee Kellind, the commander of the SOL, breaks the rule that she herself had decreed and has a child with Porto Deangelis. Thereafter, other children are born aboard the SOL that once again deserves the name "Stellar Ark".

When, at last, after many years, the SOL reaches the Watertime galaxy in November 1311 NGZ, the Mom'Serimern, who have given themselves the mission to explore the central part of the debris field, discover an unknown body in a coffin.

2110 - Der Gute Geist von Wassermal
The Good Ghost (Spirit) Of Watertime
H.G. Ewers

Upon approaching the Watertime Galaxy, the entire crew of the SOL is suddenly surrounded by a positive mental field emanating from the "Spirit (Ghost) of Watertime". It is about an entity, lower in rank than one of the Superintelligences, which tests all visitors to Watertime and only lets pass those with a high level of moral character. However, the process goes differently then was expected by Mohodeh Kascha and Atlan disappears suddenly - as well as the unknown being in the recently found glass sarcophagus.

Atlan finds himself on an artificial planet where he meets Sershan Contagi Peiragon, the unknown humanoid from the transparent sarcophagus, who once fought for the Cosmocrats in the Kohagen-Pasmereix Galaxy. Tired of fighting, he attempted to break with the new order of the Knights of the Abyss, but he was punished by the Cosmocrats and plunged into hibernation. A magnificent woman, Tagira, appears. She explains that she is going to take one of the two men as a spouse. The two men face off in a duel and, after a bitter fight, Atlan ends up defeating his adversary.

Yet, it is the ancient warrior of the Cosmocrats who is chosen. Endowed with the ability to make objects explode from afar, he does not make use of his extraordinary ability during the fight, thereby proving his moral superiority.

Tagira, who is no other then the “Spirit of Watertime”, sends Atlan back to the SOL. The entity transmits to Seneca (the SOL’s central computer) the coordinates of a place where the Galactics of the SOL must participate in the Lottery, which in turn chooses those who will be allowed to have access to the Pangalactic Statisticians.

2111 - Die Malische Mole
The Malische Pier
Arndt Ellmer

The SOL makes for the coordinates provided by the "Good Spirit of Watertime" and discovers a cylindrical station of twenty one kilometers in length in the Stijssen System, located at the galactic fringe. More than six hundred spaceships are gathered around the station. Mohodeh Kascha reveals that the station is GISTUNTEN-3, one of the fifty-four Malische Piers (Moles) where the Lottery takes place, a system of selection used to choose people who can penetrate into the Watertime Galaxy.

The officer in charge of the Lottery is the Gray Marlite, Sfonoci, who belongs to an insectoid species. Atlan comes aboard the pier in the company of Mohodeh Kascha and the two mutants, Trim Marath and Startac Schroeder. Sfonoci immediately recognizes the Knight of Dommrath (Mohodeh Kascha). He explains to them the rules of the game: participants must pay by barter. Atlan proposes to give the Gray Marlite a hyperzapfer. The Arkonide learns that the Lottery takes place annually and, by luck, the next begins in a few days.

The problem it is that beings endowed with parapsychic powers cannot participate in the Lottery and that the aura of Atlan designates him as a Knight of the Abyss. Since the organization doesn't exist anymore, he nevertheless gets the permission to participate in the selection.

The 22,123rd Lottery begins on December 10, 1311 NGZ. Atlan, Mohodeh Kascha and Icho Tolot are confronted by a series of tests in a gigantic arena. The Arkonide and the Kimbanien are eliminated and Icho Tolot suffers the same fate during the following test.

The Galactics won't be able to enter into contact with the Pangalactic Statisticians. The headquarters of the SOL considers the possibility of making the passage into the galaxy by force but the "Good Spirit of Watertime" intervenes, on behalf of Atlan and his crew, with the authorities in charge of GISTUNTEN-3. As a result, seven crew members of the SOL will be allowed to enter the Watertime Galaxy and meet the Pangalactic Statisticians.

2112 - Verschollen in Tradom
Missing In Tradom
Uwe Anton

Perry Rhodan, with his LEIF ERIKSSON, and Ascari da Vivo, with the KARRIBO, find provisional shelter on Jankar. Several cruisers have been sent out to obtain information. Rhodan is worried because the PHOENIX with Pucky aboard has not reported back yet. He is unaware that the Ilt is on the planet Pombar.

The ruler of Pombar's inhabitants is Ikanema Two. The E'Valenters interrupt the ruling family's meeting, accusing Ikanema Two and his five children of nonconformist activity. They are incarcerated. Ikanema Two begins to relate his life to his children.

The story of his life is as follows: As the designated successor to the throne, Ikanema Two must study economics on the planet Zaujanji. On the cruise liner EYE STAR, he meets several Tradom races. He develops a close friendship with the Rhiskanesche - Kara Ascarde. The vessel does not reach its goal however because it is attacked by the pirate ship FESCO under the command of the Prymbo, Inckaz. Deaths are numerous. Ikanema is taken as a slave and remains a long time on the pirate vessel before it is finally stopped by the E'Valenters. However, like the criminals, the victims are taken to the penitentiary (torture) planet Sivkadam. Ikanema is shocked to learn that the E'Valenters are especially upset with the pirates for not paying their tribute. Ikanema and the other prisoners are finally released but they are set down on the planet Aeusen XIV.

During this time, the Galactics suppose that the astronomical phenomenon discovered one hundred eighty five thousand year-light from Jankar is a Pulse. Close to the star window, Terran probes observe special vessels that now penetrate into the gigantic stations that opened the window. For Rhodan, there is no doubt that preparations for the invasion of the Milky Way are underway.

2113 - Gefangen in der Zitadelle
Caught In The Citadel
Uwe Anton

Ikanema Two resumes the narration of his life in order to explain to his children the grounds of their incarceration.

After the police force of the Tradom Empire puts them (him and the other slaves of the pirates) down on Aeusen XIV, the E'Valenters carry out a punitive expedition on the planet. During the fight, Ikanema sees a flag presenting the Tradom galaxy on the bottom in jags. His friend Tratto reacts to this sight while speaking of the Debris Empire. The battle is close until a strange creature appears. It neutralizes the besieged defenders and then in a short period of time disappears again.

After the withdrawal of the E'Valenters, Ikanema Two becomes an engineer in response to the fact that he cannot find any means to leave the planet. However, he is viewed by the planet’s inhabitants with distrust; as a potential spy of the empire. At the end of one year, he learns the reason for the punitive expedition of the E'Valenters. The Aeusiens have opposed the Tradom Empire for many centuries and have already been punished five times. His superior, Kirg, shows him a dusty substance containing in fact nanomachines which can bring the entire industry of the planet completely to a halt.

Ikanema Two ends up leaving the planet aboard the old cargo ship ZIGZAG, taking his friend Tratto with him. The captain, Pirguso, is an enthusiast of archeology. He particularly interests himself with the civilization of Thatrix that disappeared more than one hundred thousand years ago. He has discovered one hundred twenty planets that are not registered on the official maps but all are now only heaps of ash. They almost certainly are ancient worlds of the civilization of Thatrix.

When the cargo ship comes back to Aeusen XIV some time later, the entire civilization of the planet has been wiped out.

All these events begin to transform Ikanema Two into an enemy of the Tradom Empire and the "Inquisition of the Reason" that governs it. He then becomes aware that the face on his chest is taking on a life of its own (in other words, he is pregnant), and prepares to give birth by parthenogenesis. But the ZIGZAG is suddenly attacked by pirates. Ikanema (who loses his unborn child) and two members of crew are the only ones to survive the crash of the ZIGZAG on a planet. While dying, Tratto reveals herself to be a messenger of the Debris Empire. She informs him that a star window is going to open in the Roanna Sector and that the Conqueror Trah Rogue is equipping a fleet of AGLAZAR battleships (Katamars).

The planet where they are stranded is inhabited by the pacifists Paculliens. With their help, a hypercom transmitter is retrieved from the wreckage of the ZIGZAG. A police force arrives and recovers the shipwrecked victims and, after an odyssey of eleven years, Ikanema Two can finally return to Pombar.

Ikanema Two becomes the ruler of the planet Pombar but he increasingly feels doubts towards the empire. At the time of a diplomatic visit to the planet Sepold, he is surprised to meet once again his old friend, the Rhiskanesche Kara Ascarde, who now is part of a pirate gang. She must be executed. She only asks that Ikanema returns her life stone to her people. A little time later, Ikanema receives a visit from a Prymbo who announces to him that the Debris Empire wants Ikanema to join its ranks.

On Jankar, Ascari da Vivo decides to leave with the KARRIBO for the sector thought to be a PULSE. She will be accompanied by Roxo Quatron and the CoJito hunter. Rhodan, himself, departs with the LEIF ERIKSSON for the Siepan Sector. There, he receives a distress call from the PHOENIX stating that it is in serious danger.

2114 - Mogtans Gedicht
Mogtan's Poem
H.G. Francis

The cruiser LE-CR-01, baptized the PHOENIX, under the command of Rudo K'Renzer, heads toward the planet Pombar in order to obtain information. Pucky travels to its surface, accompanied by the two robots (also known as Katsugos), TOMCAT and SHECAT, both of which are occupied by Siganesians.

On the planet, Ikanema Two, along with his children, awaits deportation to the penitentiary planet Sivkadam. His "soul mirror" Mogtan predicts that he will be freed by a stranger but that, at the same time, this stranger will find his own death.

Pucky feels some difficulties when he uses his parapsychic powers on Pombar. The search team discovers, to their great stupefaction, a perfect human skull, a copy of the original skull situated in a museum. Ikanema Two brought this skull back from an archaeological expedition. The Galactics break into the museum and discover a whole skeleton. The alarm is triggered but the mousebeaver has time to seize it. A DNA analysis proves that the skeleton is, indeed, of human origin.

Pucky decides to question Ikanema Two directly but, unfortunately, the commander of the Di'Valenters, Le Karanu, is on his trail. He informs the “Creatures of Quintatha” who order him to undertake nothing and to wait for the arrival of a special ship.

Pucky and the Siganesians arrive to free Ikanema Two and his children. The Pombarian explains that he discovered the skeleton on the planet Linckx but is unaware of its exact origin. During this time, Pucky returns to the museum but he is confronted by the “Creatures of Quintatha”, the same beings observed by Ikanema Two on Aeusen XIV. One of them throws a knife that penetrates the paratron screen and plants itself in the chest of the mousebeaver. The robot TOMCAT is also hit. The two Katsugos and Pucky are carried away aboard the hostile vessel.

2115 - Anguelas Auge
Anguelas Eye
Rainer Castor

Ascari da Vivo travels to Anguelas Eye, the object that one supposes to be the equivalent of a PULSE. The Arkonides study the armor smasher, the Eltanen weapon that can pierce the protective screens of the Katamars. They reach without problem the bridge of matter between the Tradom and Terelanyas Galaxies. Reaching the 185 light-year "Eye", they discover a “mini-Eye” giving out a red stream (jet) 5.5 times per minute. But the KARRIBO can not penetrate into either one more than a half-light-year. During the seventh penetration attempt, they are discovered by thirty-six Katamars. The KARRIBO finds shelter in a "zone of quietness", a bubble of space the size of a solar system with a gigantic station in the middle. This gigantic station is identical to those having consolidated the star window.

The station immediately opens fire, not on the Arkonides, but on the vessels of Tradom that retire after the loss of three units. Ascari da Vivo penetrates into the station with a team. They discover that there exists a great number of similar stations whose role is similar to the ones in the Caldron of DaGlausch. The KARRIBO, having repaired its damage, finally evacuates the sector.

2116 - Sturm auf den Irrlaufer
Storm On The Wandering Body
Arndt Ellmer

When the LEIF ERIKSSON reaches the system of the Pombarians, the PHOENIX already has disappeared. The commander of the PHOENIX, Rudo K'Renzer, has taken up the pursuit of the oval ship from which the Siganesian robot TOMCAT gives out a distress signal. A radio beacon informs Rhodan about what happened on the planet. He sees a movie showing how Pucky was stabbed by the knife and collapsed. The weapon planted itself fully in his heart, a deadly injury even for a carrier of an activator.

The LEIF ERIKSSON rejoins the PHOENIX close to an ancient moon of twenty kilometers of diameter which is drifting in space.

The Siganesians inside TOMCAT try to fix the total breakdown caused by the embedded knife. They discover that this type of dagger is charged with psionic energy. The dagger unloads this energy upon contact with an organic being. Since the robot is made up of inert matter, the Siganesians are able to dislodge the weapon safely. When the vessel in which it is leaves hyperespace, the robot is nearly entirely repaired. The Siganesians finally are able to see what happens outside. They see the E'Valenters as well as the strange knife pitcher beings, giants with a masked face. SHECAT is also there, as well as Pucky whose body rests without life in a glass caisson. One of the "knife pitchers" removes the dagger planted in the heart of the mousebeaver. Pucky then gives off a breathe but he must be given emergency care immediately if there is any hope at all that he will survive.

Rhodan orders an attack on the moon that is in fact a secret station of the Tradom Empire. Battle troops are inserted by Rhodan into the station.

The Siganesians in TOMCAT take advantage of the explosions to enter into action. SHECAT is revealed as fully operational. The robot recovers Pucky's body and places it inside itself, at the site already utilized to withdraw the Emperor Bostich. The Katsugos must face “knife pitchers” and then link up with the Terran landing troops. Everybody (including Pucky and the Katsugos) are taken aboard the LEIF ERIKSSON which then leaves the station where a process of self-destruction is ongoing.

2117 - Der 5-D-Planet
The 5-D Planet
Horst Hoffmann

At the time of the action to save Pucky and the Siganesians, the Galactics seized the sack of one of the "knife pitchers". The analysis of its contents shows that they came from the planet Linckx - it was also there where Ikanema Two had discovered the skeleton of a Terran.

Strange physical conditions reign on this world: the whole planet is surrounded by a five-dimensional bubble. Only a primitive technology can be utilized on its surface. Yet exists many prospectors in search of the yddith ore, similar to howalgonium.

Rhodan and Ascari da Vivo, disguised as Xirrites, mingle with the prospectors. Benjameen da Jacinta and Tess Qumisha come with them. Benjameen obtains additional information on the planet from a "dream-zero" and he discovers a strange presence that he calls the “Face” which fascinates him. Shortly after the landing, the Arkonide mutant gets separated from his companions (although Tess eventually rejoins him). He succeeds in renting a place on a dirigible for both himself and Tess. However, Benjameen hides from its captain, Eshmatay Amgen, that his objective is the forbidden continent Sikma where the zero dreamer is convinced that the Face is located.

In the meantime, Rhodan finds the hospital where Ikanema Two had discovered the skeleton of a Terran. He and Ascari da Vivo try in vain to reach Sikma. They embark on a submarine but the crew attempts to get rid of them. They succeed in escaping from it and reaching land with their equipment.

Benjameen has more luck. He ends up reaching the forbidden continent. During the flight, his dirigible "drifts" in a para-reality resulting from a hyperphysical phenomenon. This turns out to be good luck for the dirigible and its passengers since, as a result, it is undetectable. Finally, they see the Face: a gigantic gelatinous mass that shows to each person who looks at it his or her own face.

2118 - Quintatha
Quintatha
Leo Lukas

When he fixes his own gaze upon the gelatinous mass of the Face, Benjameen da Jacinta is projected suddenly into a radically different universe.

The mutant finds himself naked and without equipment in a red sea. He is saved just in time by a boat. The crew is obviously composed of “knife pitchers” but these “knife pitchers” don't wear the usual masks. The Arkonide recovers his health little by little and learns that he is in Quintatha, a world apparently situated in a cavity of hyperspace. It is the homeland of the Barkners who sail with their ships in what appears to be an infinite sea. Benjameen has been recovered by one of these ships, the SIRIOS. Shirka, the captain, took him aboard because he thinks that there exists - in his eyes - a connection between the rickety dwarf (Benjameen) and a gigantic fish called Rishtyn-Jaffami. Shirka is a hunter of “Titans”, the biggest fish of the sea.

Benjameen learns quickly that the primitive culture of the Barkners depend entirely on the hunting of the Titans. Their bodies provide all necessary resources as well as psionic elements. Knives, of which one nearly cost Pucky his life on Pombar, are fabricated from the teeth of these Titans. When the Arkonide comes in contacts with one of the knives, he feels possessed by a furious desire to murder.

Shirka sends Benjameen to school and there he learns with surprise that the Barkners came to the world of Quintatha like him; while falling into the sea from nowhere! The central point of the life of the Barkners is the floating city of Hellmock. A class friend informs him that there exists another intelligent life form in Quintatha: the Machinitens. Benjameen sees some one day and these are revealed to be some Valenters. The mutant understands that they come from the standard universe and that they exchange materials for the knives. Benjameen tries to enter aboard one of their ships but he fails. Shirka punishes him by flogging.

The SIRIOS then rushes in pursuit of the “Large Gray”, Rishtyn-Jaffami. But when the SIRIOS finally manages to catch up and face the monster, it proves to be an enormous creature which the Barkners are unable to attack in any conventional manner. The beast dives, dragging the SIRIOS into the depths. The ship bursts through the surface of a hollow sphere. It has reached the mysterious interior sea. The crew is killed by Rishtyn-Jaffami and only Shirka manages to flee with a rowboat, taking Benjameen with him. A face then forms itself on the surface of the water in which Shirka recognizes his face. The Barkner thinks that it is about the face of Rishtyn-Jaffami and aims at it with his harpoon.

2119 - Der letzte Sturm
The Last Storm
Horst Hoffmann

The RIGO, still captive of a para-reality, is stuck on the forbidden continent Sikma. Benjameen da Jacinta is a prisoner in his zero-dream and the RIGO's captain, Eshmatay Amgen, waits for his death without caring or doing anything about it.

By themselves, Tess Qumisha and Ailey, the engineer of the dirigible, can not bring back the airship to Kara. But Benjameen wakes up suddenly, with a paramental jolt that even pulls Eshmatay from his lethargy. With the mutant's help, the dirigible can finally leave the continent and can regain the reality over the open ocean. Benjameen now tells the others about his adventures in Quintatha. Benjameen and Tess rejoin Rhodan. Since the Arkonide fears that the deadly harpoon injury of the Large Gray provokes, in fact, the death of the gelatinous mass in Sikma and draws the E'Valenters onto the trail of the Terrans, the LEIF ERIKSSON and the KARRIBO leave Linckx in great haste.

Shirka also survived his fight against the Large Gray Rishtyn-Jaffami and arrived as well in the "cold continuum" - the real universe. Shirka receives a knife and a mask and is transformed by the E'Valenters into a “Creature of Quintatha” by brutal methods. Shirka is forgiven by Rishtyn-Jaffami (in fact the gelatinous mass on Sikma) for the mortal wound it has received at Shirka’s hand. In turn, it wants Shirka to track down Benjameen da Jacinta. Fifty Katamar cruisers, with Shirka on board, then launch themselves in pursuit of Perry Rhodan and the other Galactics.

Rishtyn-Jaffami tells the Barkner the story of its birth:

One hundred sixty thousand years earlier, a spaceship of the Jaffamis crashed on Linckx. Rishtyn-Jaffami was the only survivor but, due to the planet’s unusual hyperphysical conditions, Jaffami’s body changed and it developed the ability to manipulate para-realities. Its strength became so great that it created its own "virtual universe": Quintatha, that it populated with Barkners and Titans. The Tradom Empire eventually learned about its existence. Shortly afterwards, an Inquisitor appeared and enslaved it. As tribute, Rishtyn-Jaffami was required to provide the Tradom Empire with “Creatures of Quintatha” and knives. To exclude all revolt, the Inquisitor installed explosive charges on the continent of Sikma.

In order to take vengeance before dying of the wounds it suffered at the hands of Shirka, Rishtyn-Jaffami attracts the Inquisitor onto Linckx, while utilizing the mission of Shirka to divert the the empire’s attention. When the hated Inquisitor presents himself, Rishtyn-Jaffami initiates a massive explosion, killing itself as well as the Inquisitor. Afterwards the planet Linckx is ravaged.

Unaware of events on Linckx, the Galactics are pursued through the Tradom galaxy. During the flight, the LEIF ERIKSSON and the KARRIBO are separated. Benjameen ultimately comes to the realization that the pursuing Katamars are attracted by the "tooth" that he brought back from Quintatha. He manages to have it projected inside of a sun. The ruse succeeds and all the pursuers find death while plunging into the star after the tooth.

The LEIF ERIKSSON returns to Jankar but two pieces of bad news wait for it: the KARRIBO did not return and the 22,000 enemy ships of war that had, up until then, waited close to the star window now are converging on the Virginox star cluster.

2120 - Assassine an Bord
Assassin On Board
H.G. Francis

Thanks to the intervention of the Good Spirit of Watertime, the Galactics are able to go on board of a Malic Junk in spite of their failure in the Lottery. Atlan is accompanied by Mohodeh Kascha, the Halutien Icho Tolot, Myles Kantor, Mondra Diamond and the two mutants Startac Schroeder and Trim Marath.

The junk, called the ADSCHA-ZABOROO, is a gigantic cruise liner on which the crew tries to provide the most pleasing possible journey to the winners of the Lottery. However, a passenger is killed in an explosion close to Atlan’s cabin. Other deaths soon occur. The Arkonide and his companions try to find the murderer but they are consistently stonewalled by the crew. The captain, a Gray Marlite, is of little help to them. All the same, the Galactics eventually succeed in stopping the guilty party, a Pfauchonian, and handing him over to the authorities.

But shortly afterwards another passenger is murdered. Atlan forces the captain to answer his questions and learns that the murderous Pfauchonian is in the service of the Prince-Warriors, the reigning power in control of the Watertime Galaxy. The murders are actually considered to be legal executions. Unfortunately, the last victim barricades himself in the engine room and threatens to blow up the junk. Startac Schroeder succeeds in preventing the worst from happening while teleporting himself to safety at the last moment.

2121 - Turm der Visionen
Tower Of The Visions
Susan Schwartz

After the Galactics solve the strange set of murders on board of the Malic Junk ADSCHA-ZABOROO, the flight continues without any other incidents. On the 20th December, the ship reaches its goal, the planet Vision, and drops off its passengers in the chaos of the city of Rik'ombir in the center of which rises the Tower of the Visions.

Atlan and his companions find a guide in the person of the robot Chaparu-27, which also procures them lodging. All newcomers, the winners of the Lottery, are thus taken in charge this way. The Galactics understand that all strangers are prepared for the visit to the Tower where the Pangalactic Statistician Rik resides. Rik, like all the Pangalactic Statistician, spies on the vast extent of the cosmos and regularly transmits his information to the Vionaries, small gnomes who have a photographic memory. These are the real statisticians because they then log all the data into the cosmological media libraries. Atlan and his companions realize that they have not been brought as they originally thought to an intermediate world but directly onto the planet of the Statisticians.

Trim Marath feels strangely attracted to the Tower of the Visions. He is in a rush to get to the Tower as soon as possible. It is not until the 22nd December that the Galactics can finally go there. Trim Marath nearly reaches the Pangalactic Statistician Rik but ultimately fails. After the visit, they have access to the cosmological media library. They look for information on Thoregon but discover to their great disappointment that the data is not cataloged. To find specific information, it is necessary to have a little luck - in effect, the search has to be carried out on a random basis.

The following day, Atlan proposes that each member of his group attempts his or her luck in another city. Trim Marath wants to try to reach the Pangalactic Statistician Rik again. Startac remains with him. The research in the cosmological media libraries proves to be fruitful: the sun Taknu where those who had survived the abyss had found shelter failed to turn into nova and that the Cosmocrats are responsible for preventing it from turning into a nova. In addition, the Guards of Light exist in a galaxy one half-billion light-years away. But before the data search can progress further, Vision is attacked by a foreign fleet and the evacuation of the planet is ordered.

The incursion of Trim Marath into the Tower of Visions, where he once again nearly manages to contact the Pangalactic Statistician Rik, prevents the Galactics from reaching the last evacuation vessel. However, in the last minute, they are rescued by the assassin Kuni Maghate whose strong code of honor requires that he repay his debt to them for their help during their trip to Vision on the ADSCHA-ZABOROO.

2122 - Die Prinzenkrieger
The Prince Warriors
Ernst Vlcek

The Pfauchonian Soner, unique son and heir of the Prince Warrior Marca, is born on the planet Kazién from where the Master of Light reigns one of the nine "sections" of the Watertime Galaxy. Eight comets blaze in the sky on the day of his birth and eight is the absolute symbol of misfortune. Marca orders the event erased from all registers, kills all the astrologers and makes capital punishment the penalty for anyone who speaks of the meteoroid shower that occurred at the time of his son’s birth.

The small prince Soner grows up in his father's palace. The Pfauchonians have developed a complex sense of honor that, outside of their religion, is the basis of their life. Soner secretly wanders around the palace, ignoring the fact that he is supervised closely by his instructors. At the time of one of his excursions, he meets Parkiru, the son of the Minister of Global Security. A deep friendship develops between the two children.

When Soner is older, he travels with his father on one of his diplomatic missions but his biggest wish, to land on the planet Vision, doesn't come true. At eleven years of age, the young prince obtains two deflectors. With their help, he frequently leaves the palace and enters the planet’s capital city, the City of Glass, with his friend Parkiru. There, he can experience the daily life on Kazién. One day he meets the stranger Rodo, who warns him about the Koshy-Shyna sect, a criminal organization. Shortly afterwards, during another one of their excursions, Soner and Parkiru spend too much time exploring the city and cannot return to the palace before the night begins. It is a real night, the Pfauchonians refusing all artificial lighting. They wander around the city in absolute darkness, get lost and fall into the hands of criminals. Rodo saves them, but Soner is not certain that he didn't organize the kidnapping in order to make himself appear as their rescuer.

As a result of this latest incident in the city, Marca decides to modify the formation plan of his son. He is instructed in the language of honor, an idiom solely mastered by the Pfauchonians of high rank. The young prince learns it quickly and also develops his talents in close hand to hand combat. At the end of his formation, Soner submits to the ritual of the Saltan. It is about a parasitic animal in the shape of a ponytail fixed at the rear of the head, a process provoking violent pains. When Soner finally gets over the ceremony, his father takes him to Vision, the planet of Pangalactic Statisticians. Marca informs Soner that his mother was murdered by members of the Koshy-Shyna. As a precaution, he asks Soner not to ever undertake anything against them. A very fragile truce appears to exist between the Koshy-Shyna and the official governments of Watertime.

On Vision, Soner meets the young Sihame, the daughter of the Prince Warrior Vaxine. They fall in love but as their fathers are hostile toward each other, a common future is not foreseeable. Back on Kazién, Soner appears apathetic, until he is kidnapped again. However, this time he succeeds in escaping on his own.

He then goes incognito to the domain of Vaxine to enter into contact with Sihame. There, he is stopped as a presumed terrorist and is brought before the Prince Warrior. When Sihame hurries to the help of her beloved Soner, Vaxine understands that he won't be able to oppose their love and declares himself ready to put an end to the old hostility with Marca. However, the two Prince Warriors die before having put an official end to the hostilities.

Soner ascends the throne and, according to custom, must accomplish a ritual murder. He must kill one of the Pfauchonians who was born at the same moment as him. As a result, he is forced to execute his old childhood friend, Parkiru.

Mania-Time

Sihame must wait for one year before all formalities are accomplished so that she can marry the Prince Warrior Soner. Immediately after their honeymoon tour of the Watertime Galaxy, a bad surprise waits for Soner: four of his ministers have been brutally murdered - just as he had himself executed admiral Hergetoor, high dignitary of the Koshy-Shyna. Soner understands that it is a warning from the criminal organization. As a result, the Prince Warrior intensifies his struggle with the Koshy-Shyna. He makes several diplomatic trips and succeeds in developing good relationships with the eight other Prince Warriors. Unfortunately, he and his wife Sihame do not succeed in conceiving a heir. Finally, Soner goes to consult with the prophet Riddyn who predicts he will have a son. And hardly has he returned home when he learns that his companion Sihame is pregnant.

Thereafter, Soner decides to strike a major blow against the Koshy-Shyna. The operation succeeds but, in reprisal, the newly born son of Soner is murdered. He pays another visit to the prophet, and falls into a trap of the criminal organization. Unbeknownst to Soner, the prophet has been drugged by the Koshy-Shyna and predicts wrongly that Soner will be the source of a terrifying misfortune. Confused, the Prince Warrior runs away and when he comes back home, he has changed. He sends Sihame away to an isolated wing of the palace. He undertakes numerous brutal actions and then murders all the prophets. Sihame tries to bring him back to reason but she finds another in her bed: the childhood friend of Soner, Minda.

The worse act of Soner is soon to come: he leaves with one hundred thousand warships of his fleet in order to occupy Vision, the planet of the Pangalactic Statisticians. As a result, he must oppose the other Prince Warriors. Meanwhile, Minda drops her mask: she is in fact the head of the Koshy-Shyna that she joined because Soner had originally rejected her and chosen Sihame as his wife instead. It is her that organized the trap with the prophet Riddyn, which led to Soner’s erratic behavior. Soner kills Minda for her treachery. The next stage of the drama is now about to begin. In a few days there is going to occur one of the rare conjunctions where several Statisticians have to leave their towers at the same time.

Three weeks after Atlan and his companions left on board of the ADSCHA-ZABOROO junk, the powers to be in the Watertime Galaxy contact Ronald Tekener on board of the SOL and gives him and the Terrans permission to intervene. The gigantic cruiser is allowed to enter the Watertime Galaxy.

Terran scientists carry out some studies in the research center Mercury-Alpha on the data obtained at the time of the meeting with Trah Rogue. Blo Rakane, the White Halutian (Haluter), arrives on the planet in the company of Bré Tsinga. Rakane discovers some anomalies in the syntron (central computer), which are at such a minimal level that they have not yet been detected by the Terran scientists. He informs Noviel Residor, the chief of the Terran League Service (the intelligence service). The Halutian ends up discovering a spy probe of unknown origin on the hostile surface of Mercury. He succeeds with a weapon developed by himself in catching and neutralizing the alien probe, which Blo Rakane believes has been sent to Mercury by Trah Rogue. He attempts to disassemble it on board of his ship, the ZHAURITTER. He succeeds in extracting data from the probe but, in the process, the device self-destructs, also triggering impulses which act on certain personnel of the research center who have been, unknown to themselves, conditioned on a psychological basis. These conditioned personnel are in possession of capsules of gas. Bré Tsinga falls victim when she tries to come to their aid and prevent them from releasing the deadly gas. However, she is saved at the last minute.

It is ultimately determined that Trah Rogue has been able to get some information on the Aagenfelt Gate. To the surprise of all, the trail leads to the BASE.
